What a year it’s been for Marvel’s Netflix heroes.

First came the second season of Jessica Jones, before Mike Colter’s Hero for Hire returned to protect Harlem from new threats (see: the Bushmaster). Fast forward to now, and we’re on the verge of Iron Fist season 2 (our review), which is shaping up to be a streamlined solo adventure for Danny Rand and Colleen Wing, a would-be member of the Daughters of the Dragon alongside Misty Knight.

And while it’s yet to be confirmed outright, 2018 may well herald the launch of Daredevil season 3. Marvel and Netflix’s premier superhero series has been totally absent since as far back as March of 2016, so it’s fair to say that Matt Murdock’s return is long overdue.

Speaking of which, Deadline brings word today that Daredevil‘s third season is coming to New York Comic Con, where Charlie Cox (Murdock), Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk) and newcomer Joanna Whalley are all expected to make an appearance.

It won’t be alone, either, as Deadline’s report name-drops The Runaways and Fox’s The Gifted, which are expected to enjoy major showcases at next month’s comic book extravaganza, too.

For Daredevil, though, NYCC would present an opportune time to dump season 3’s first-look teaser (along with a premiere date, perhaps?), while many are expecting one or two guest appearances to join Cox, D’Onofrio and Whalley on stage. Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page) is practically a shoo-in, while we wouldn’t be too surprised if Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle) made an appearance as Marvel and Netflix begin promoting their small-screen rendition of the famous “Born Again” comic.

Closer to home, the second season of Iron Fist will hit the online streaming service this Friday, September 7th.
