Adult Richie Shares A Laugh With Pennywise In New It: Chapter Two Set Pics

Richie Tozier is all grown up in this newly-released pair of set photos for It: Chapter Two, which also find Bill Hader's character in the company of a certain clown.

Despite facing their innermost fears and banishing Pennywise to the murky depths of Derry, Maine, the Losers’ Club are about to gear up for round two, as the aptly named It: Chapter Two is beginning to rear its ugly head over the horizon. And we now have a couple of never-before-seen set photos to prove it.

Coming to us by way of the Mail Online (h/t CBM), the candid pics feature Bill Hader as the adult Richie Tozier, who can be seen sharing a… laugh with Pennywise, eater of worlds and destroyer of dreams.

It’s pretty surreal to see Stephen King’s abomination in this light, as it no doubt undermines the blood-curdling terror that oozes out of every pore. Of course, we’re quietly confident that It: Chapter Two will leave viewers quivering in their seats when the New Line horror sequel opens next September – this is merely a candid sneak peek of Bill SkarsgÃ¥rd in costume as Derry’s infamous boogeyman, who has clearly emerged from his 27-year slumber to begin feasting on young, hapless children.

As for the human ensemble about to confront Pennywise, we know Bill Hader will be sharing the screen with big-name stars like Jessica Chastain and James McAvoy, given the X-Men duo are about to play the adult versions of Beverly Marsh and Bill Denbrough, respectively.

Will their budding romance continue into adulthood? We’ll find out very soon, though it’s fair to say they’ll be a little busy tending to the walking nightmare that is Pennywise.

Said to be a heartbreaking conclusion to the Losers Club saga, one which will purportedly adapt one of the book’s most bizarre scenes, It: Chapter Two will see a release on September 6th.
