Rumor: Avengers 4 Trailer Coming In November, Title Is Annihilation

The folks over at MCU Cosmic have it on good authority that the first Avengers 4 trailer will be here in November and will reveal the title as Avengers: Annihilation.

Because Marvel Studios are known for playing the long game, there remains the ongoing possibility that hints for what lies ahead can be found in the franchise’s previous releases. The unfortunate flipside to this, however, is that with twenty films’ worth of potential clues to search through, it’s almost a guarantee that you’ll find some ‘evidence’ to back up whatever theory you’re working on, and such is the case with this alleged tease for the title of Avengers 4.

A rumor that’s been picking up a lot of traction lately is that the sequel to Avengers: Infinity War will be called Avengers: Annihilation, and while this may possibly be the case, it’s still yet to be confirmed. MCU Cosmic is pretty sure of it though, and in a new report published today, they outlined the following points about the film’s first trailer, which they say is arriving next month.

  • It’s coming in November.
  • The title is Avengers: Annihilation.
  • The backing music for the trailer is apparently a brand-new track by Twelve Titans Music, who have done trailer music for many big trailers such as The Hobbit movies. It’ll be a new variation of their “Dust and Light” track.

When exactly we’ll get the official title reveal is still unknown at this point – though it’ll presumably arrive alongside the trailer – but from what we understand, even the cast members don’t know what it is, with both Karen Gillan and Don Cheadle recently admitting that they haven’t been told what Avengers 4 is really called. With Disney being this secretive about the details, you have to wonder how much potential for a leak there really is, and given that the studio was willing to create fake scripts for Infinity War, it wouldn’t come as a surprise to learn that one or two of the most prominently rumored titles are Marvel’s own red herrings, too.

Regardless, the internet may not always be the most reliable of sources, but MCU Cosmic has a pretty strong track record and as such, we’re inclined to believe that the very first trailer for Avengers 4 will be here next month, and will reveal the title as Avengers: Annihilation.
