Stan Lee Created One Last Character With His Daughter Before Dying

If you have so much as one friend of the geek persuasion added on social media or follow any sort of entertainment outlet, then odds are you’ve already learned of Stan Lee‘s unfortunate passing. In the past 24 hours alone, the internet has been flooded with countless tributes in honor of the late legend, with celebrities and fans alike expressing their condolences.

Considering how “The Man” is credited with creating icons such as Spider-Man, Iron Man, the X-Men, Daredevil and a ton of others, there’s a slim chance that at least one of his brainchildren hasn’t gained your favor in some fashion. And even though the bulk of Lee’s greatest heroes sprung from the 1960’s, his creative juices remained flowing right up until the end.

Believe it or not, Stan and his daughter, J.C., were cooking up something in recent memory, which she revealed in an interview with TMZ:

“I’ve been trying to get him to create a character with me his entire life. We’ve been working on a character called Dirt Man.”

“The last little angel we’ve got tucked away is Dirt Man and I said ‘Daddy, no clatter, no steel, no any of that. Let’s get down and dirty. Let’s do what’s going on and what’s about love. Let’s do Dirt Man.’ It’s very interesting and it’s not over yet. We still have a little trickery.”

From the sound of it, this character isn’t close to appearing in any sort of comic book or movie, though J.C. hopes such a thing will one day happen. Admittedly, I’m not sure what to think of someone named “Dirt Man,” but I never thought I’d dig a guy named “Kick-Ass” (kudos go to Mark Millar for that one), so you never really know.
