Gorgeous New Poster And Plot Summary For Captain Marvel Arrive Online

Ahead of tomorrow's big trailer launch, we now have a gorgeous new poster and a fresh plot summary for Captain Marvel, which arrives in March.

Though the past few months have been pretty quiet on the Marvel front, things are about to kick into gear in a big way over the next little while, and here’s why.

This coming week, the studio plans to unveil new trailers for Captain Marvel and Avengers 4, and ahead of the preview for the former, we’ve got a gorgeous poster that features Carol Danvers front and center. It’s a huge step up from the first one-sheet we saw for the film and is truly a beautiful piece of promotional material.

But first, there’s also an updated plot summary that we should address. Found below, it’s more or less the same as the initial one that Marvel gave us a while back, but it’s still worth a read if you’re looking to get a better grasp on what’s in store for us this coming March.

Set in the 1990s, Marvel Studios’ “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that follows the journey of Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes. While a galactic war between two alien races reaches Earth, Danvers finds herself and a small cadre of allies at the center of the maelstrom.

Excited yet? It’s clear that Marvel’s really about the crank the marketing machine for the film into overdrive now and the more we see and hear about Carol’s first standalone outing, the more anxious we get to finally lay eyes on it. There’s a lot riding on Captain Marvel, to be sure, given that it’s the studio’s first female-led movie and all, but something tells us they’ll be able to deliver.

So far, people seem to be on board with the pic and the initial trailer certainly impressed. With any luck, this next preview will be just as enticing and should act as the perfect appetizer before the main event arrives on Wednesday. That being the first Avengers 4 preview, which at this point, can’t come soon enough.
