Arthur Faces Off Against Ocean Master In New Aquaman Clip

We’ve already seen quite a bit of footage from the upcoming Aquaman movie – too much, if you ask some fans – but with the film’s highly anticipated release now only a few weeks away, Warner Bros. continues to add to the feature’s extensive body of promotional material with a brand new clip.

We’ve already seen quite a bit of footage from the upcoming Aquaman movie – too much, if you ask some fans – but with the film’s highly anticipated release now only a few weeks away, Warner Bros. continues to add to the feature’s extensive body of promotional material with a brand new clip.

Seen up above, it shows us Arthur Curry squaring off against his half-brother Orm in a fight. While Arthur has the trident of his and Orm’s mother, Orm’s using the trident of his father. Though brief, it’s an exciting tease of the action to come in James Wan’s flick and only heightens our anticipation to see the full thing that much more.

Speaking about his character a while back, Patrick Wilson had the following to say about who Orm is:

“He’s kind of an eco-warrior. He’s got a very clear gripe with the surface world, which has been polluting his oceans for centuries. And that’s something for me — I’m sure for you too — that’s very easy to understand. If somebody was just constantly polluting our air and ruining how we lived.”

With its release quickly approaching now, Aquaman is riding a wave of strong buzz and looks to be a big hit for the DCEU. That’s certainly good to see, as Jason Momoa has already mentioned that he’s pitched ideas for a sequel to the studio. Whether he’ll get his wish to make one remains to be seen, but if the latest box office projections are anything to go by, then it’s quite possible that Warner Bros. will move forward with a follow-up.

From what we understand, the review embargo for Aquaman is still about a week away from being lifted, but the social media responses we’ve been seeing over the past little while have been overwhelmingly positive, with many people going as far as to call James Wan’s film the DCEU’s best entry to date. That’s definitely exciting to hear, and we’ll find out if the hype is real when Arthur Curry’s first solo outing hits theaters on December 21st.
