New Arrow Synopsis Finally Reveals Episode 7×13’s Title

When it comes to what lies beyond Arrow's 150th episode, "Emerald Archer," showrunner and executive producer Beth Schwartz has been decidedly tight-lipped. In fact, she's even obscured titles when posting pictures of scripts on Twitter.

Most fortunate for us all, secrets such as those can’t be kept under wraps for too long because, as you know, the network must release a synopsis at some point. Usually, these hit the web about two or three weeks before the relevant episode airs, with this case being no different.

Now that the cat’s out of the bag, fans can look forward to seeing a somewhat obscure villain making his way to the small screen once “Star City Slayer” debuts. Here, take a gander at the details for yourself:

THE TEAM IS TARGETED — Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) are disappointed after they learn that William (guest star Jack Moore) is hiding something from them. Wanting to focus on his family, Oliver steps back from his Green Arrow duties and let’s the team take over tracking down a serial killer. However, when the team becomes targets for the killer, things take a bloody turn. Gregory Smith directed the episode written by Beth Schwartz & Jill Blankenship (#713). Original airdate 2/11/2019.

Cool as hearing “Raining Blood” during an episode of Arrow would be, the title isn’t actually referring to a Slayer tribute band residing in Star City. Rather, we’re likely to expect Stanley Dover, an occultist and murderer of children known to comic book readers.

Whether or not the live action translation proves entirely accurate to the source material remains to be seen, though it’s probably safe to assume we’re in for one of the series’ more grisly installments. With Dante and the Ninth Circle likely being on the way, we should brace ourselves for all manner of grotesquerie.

Arrow airs on Monday nights on The CW, with “Star City Slayer” being set to debut on February 11th.
