With a new Avengers: Endgame TV spot set to drop tonight during the Super Bowl, we try to determine when exactly it'll debut.

Now that the first trailer for Avengers: Endgame has been analyzed for all its worth, folks are starting to get antsy as they wait for some fresh material, and while Marvel Studios remains typically tight-lipped on when another full trailer might arrive, we can at least look forward to tonight’s Super Bowl broadcast bringing us a new TV spot for the hugely anticipated sequel.

Releasing new footage during the big game makes a lot of sense for Disney, of course, and if you’ll recall, roughly a year ago they debuted the Super Bowl trailer for Infinity War, which generated a massive amount of buzz and hype online. At this point, it’s not as if Endgame really needs any further publicity, as it’s all but guaranteed to be another $2 billion hit for the studio, but the more people are talking about how exciting it’s going to be the better it is.

With that in mind though, when exactly can we expect to see this next bit of promotion? The Super Bowl starts at 6:30pm EST and so far, we’ve been given no indication of when during the game the TV spot will air. However, if we look to the past and examine what Disney’s done during previous occasions, we can at least start to formulate a pretty good guess of when it’ll drop.

To begin with, let’s go back to The Avengers and look at its own Super Bowl spot, which arrived during the second quarter, about halfway through. Then there was Infinity War, which as we mentioned above also had a spot aired during the Super Bowl and that one arrived shortly after half-time in the third quarter.

Though there’s nothing to say that the studio will follow a similar pattern, it’s looking pretty likely that the new Endgame spot will debut at some point in the second or third quarter. That’d make sense, too, as it gives people enough time to settle in and also ensures that no one’s turned off the game yet or packed it in early.

Then again, we could be wrong and Disney could surprise us all by dropping it at an unexpected time, but for now, that’s what we’re going with. And of course, it won’t only be the Avengers: Endgame spot that fans can look forward to from the Mouse House tonight.

Captain Marvel, for instance, is quickly approaching its March 8th release date, while Toy Story 4 and the live-action remakes of Dumbo, Aladdin and The Lion King are all coming down the pipeline, too. As such, it should be an exciting night for moviegoers in general and we’ll be sure to have each of the new trailers/TV spots for you the moment they release.
