Last night’s preview begins with a quick reminder of all the major characters who turned to dust in the snap, from the Wasp to Vision, but even without these opening images, fans would’ve had no trouble remembering the unfortunate fates suffered by these and other cherished characters last year, and in response to the new TV spot, many took to Twitter to mourn all over again.

Of course, it’s all but confirmed by now that the dusted heroes will be returning from the grave, with many of the characters already having future projects lined up. We only have a few months to wait before Peter Parker and Nick Fury each come back for Spider-Man: Far From Home, a film that producers Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige have both said takes place after Endgame. Beyond that, Doctor Strange and Black Panther each have sequels in the works, too, as do the Guardians of the Galaxy, assuming nothing else goes wrong for Vol. 3.

Meanwhile, Falcon and Winter Soldier will reportedly be pairing up for their own TV show on Disney Plus, as will Scarlet Witch and Vision. Even Loki, who died a fair bit earlier than the victims of the Decimation, is confirmed to return in his own series. How exactly all of these characters will be coming back, however, remains the big question that Avengers: Endgame is set to answer when the film hits theaters on April 26th, 2019.
