While Iron Man’s outfits seem to be getting slimmer thanks to Tony Stark’s nanotechnology, Rhodey’s new getup is no less bulky than his previous suits. He also looks to have a hefty pair of guns that should do him well in the fight against Thanos, though it remains to be seen whether the recent rumor that he’s bringing his classic War Destroyer weapon to the action is legit.

Though Rhodey was among the lucky survivors of the snap that concluded Avengers: Infinity War, we’ve yet to get many details on the character’s role in Endgame, though perhaps we shouldn’t expect him to be much more than a supporting player in Marvel’s Phase 3 finale. After all, it’s long been clear that much of the film’s emotional focus will be on the original Phase 1 line-up of the Avengers, and besides, Rhodey’s story doesn’t have any especially obvious loose ends in need of tying up.

Then again, while it remains a popular prediction that Avengers: Endgame will serve as the MCU swan song for franchise regulars like Iron Man and Captain America, War Machine’s future in the franchise remains unclear, so for all we know, the Russo Brothers could be taking the character’s journey in an exciting new direction. Either way, all will be revealed when the film hits theaters on April 26th, 2019.
