In the latest such piece, for instance, it’s said that Marvel Studios is on the lookout for a woman of color in the 15-25 age range for a “small, supporting role.” The report adds that the character was only just recently added to the script as part of the rewrites from The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby scribe Ned Benson.

Though the report stresses that Marvel is still “very early in the process,” it’s said that the studio has so far expressed an interest in Storm Reid (A Wrinkle in Time), Isabela Moner (Dora the Explorer, Transformers: The Last Knight), Camila Mendes (Riverdale) and Hannah Quinlivan (Skyscraper), among others.

Whoever lands the part, it doesn’t sound like they’ll be in for a huge amount of screen time, but the same can’t be said for the major female role that THS reported on earlier this week. Among the list of actresses being eyed for the film’s “kick ass female Bond” character, Emma Watson of Beauty and the Beast and Harry Potter fame is the alleged frontrunner. Meanwhile, the same site has also relayed word that Moonlight and Castle Rock star André Holland is gunning for the role of main villain, while Rachel Weisz, Sebastian Koch and Alec Baldwin are all said be under consideration for supporting parts.

With filming expected to begin this June, it hopefully won’t be much longer before we get some clarification on the line-up that Scarlett Johansson will be working with, but in the meantime, you can see Black Widow’s one confirmed cast member in action when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th.
