Top Apex Legends Streamer Slams The Game, Says It’s PUBG All Over Again

Apex Legends is at risk of becoming the next PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds due to constant lag and connectivity issues.

At least, that’s according to prominent Twitch streamer Michael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek, whose unusual rage quit prompted heated discussion this past weekend. Shroud is not known for his aggressive behavior in front of the camera, so it’s fair to say that this outburst (see below) was totally out of character.

Much like Ninja’s ties to Fortnite, Shroud is a major player in the Apex Legends community, so it should come as no surprise that his opinion carries a lot of weight. Whether it’s enough to prompt a major change and/or update is another question entirely, given Respawn has already labeled game stability as its chief priority.

We literally lost to these guys because of fucking lag! I’m gonna break something! Holy shit, I hate when stuff isn’t in my control. I left the game. I can’t play until it’s fixed. This is PUBG all over again, dude.

Respawn won’t take too kindly to the PUBG comparison, either, given the online battle royale title was eventually crippled with insufferable latency and framerate issues. Let’s hope Apex Legends doesn’t succumb to the same problems.

In related news, Michael Grzesiek is actually on bedrest at the moment following a successful surgery on his elbow, so don’t expect any Apex streams from Shroud for another few weeks at least.

And Apex Legends? It’s currently gearing up for the release of its long-rumored Battle Pass, while Respawn recently ruled out the possibility of a reconnect feature being introduced in the foreseeable future. Frankly, there’s enough cheats and exploits as is…
