Endgame Star Josh Brolin Tells The Avengers To Move On

“I keep telling everybody they should move on. Some do, but not us.” So says Steve Rogers in the latest trailer for Avengers: Endgame, but if you ask Josh Brolin, old Cap might do well to follow his own advice.

So says Steve Rogers in the latest trailer for Avengers: Endgame, but if you ask Josh Brolin, old Cap might do well to follow his own advice.

In case you’re unaware, Brolin’s opinion may be informed by a slight bias, seeing how he’s the actor responsible for bringing the Avengers’ greatest foe to the big screen. In last year’s Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos handed the team their first defeat, and with a new post on Instagram, Brolin presents a shortened version of the latest trailer, along with a caption that tells Earth’s Mightiest Heroes to take the L and get over it:

“They SHOULD move on.

Of course, seeing how there’s no way that Marvel Studios is going to let Black Panther, Spider-Man and their various super-powered peers stay dead, we can assume that Thanos’ fortunes will be taking a turn for the worse once the Avengers find a way of undoing the snap. That being said, it’s still unclear what exactly is in store for the Mad Titan, who’s yet to even show his face in any of Endgame’s promotional footage. There’s even been some speculation that Thanos might be replaced by an “even greater threat,” though we’ve yet see much evidence that another major villain is about to enter the fray.

Thanks to the new poster and various toy leaks, however, one thing we can be sure of is that Thanos will be wearing his armor once more. What’s interesting about this particular detail is that the villain ditched his armor near the start of Infinity War, since he believed that his Infinity Gauntlet kept him protected enough already. As it stands, the most popular theory for Thanos’ change of heart is that the gauntlet is no longer working as well as it used to, but we’ll find out if the speculation has it right when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th.
