Robert Downey Jr. Kicks Off Avengers: Endgame Press Tour With Awesome Video

We're just three weeks out from Avengers: Endgame, and the press tour has officially kicked off. We’re just three weeks out from Avengers: Endgame, and the press tour has officially kicked off. This promises to be a busy couple of weeks for the film’s stars, as they face an endless carousel of chat show appearances, promotional events, premieres and interviews. Some actors can barely conceal their boredom at this part of the job, but at least Robert Downey Jr. seems to be having fun.

How do we know this? Well, he’s released a video on Instagram this week showing him grooving to Blondie’s “House of Glass,” and he seems to be in great spirits.

Comments on the video came from all around the world and were full of praise for Downey Jr. and excitement for Endgame. One fan, for instance, pronounced him the ‘KING OF DANCE,’ while another requested that next time he does some twerking and one simply said: “I wish he was my dad” (which is actually kind of depressing for the person who actually IS her dad).

These interviews are actually quite high pressure for the cast, though. After all, nobody wants to pull a Ruffalo and accidentally spoil the movie, so you’ve really got to watch what you say or you’ll feel the leaden hand of the Mouse on your shoulder. Fortunately, Downey Jr. is an old hand at this by now and if he hasn’t accidentally dropped anything after 11 years of playing Tony Stark, he’s unlikely to this time. One thing we should look forward to are any joint appearances he’ll make with Chris Evans. The pair have an adorable bromance going on, and love teasing each other on social media.

Either way, the press tour is one of the final pieces of the Avengers: Endgame puzzle to fall into place. After a year of intense hype, it’s difficult to believe that very soon we’ll be sat in multiplexes up and down the nation finding out whether or not the heroes finally live up to their name and do some avenging, but we’ll be doing just that in 3 weeks from now, on April 26th.
