Tessa Thompson Reveals Valkyrie’s Whereabouts Between Thor: Ragnarok And Avengers: Endgame

There aren't many of the Avengers or Guardians of the Galaxy left going into Avengers: Endgame, so the remaining heroes will need all the help they can get. Thankfully, we're pretty sure that some Asgardian back-up is on the way. While the trailers haven't featured her at all, Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie has got her own character poster and her own Twitter emoji already, so it sure looks like the heroine is returning following her fan favorite debut in 2017's Thor: Ragnarok.

We last saw Valkyrie with Thor, Hulk and Loki on the Statesman at the end of Ragnarok. When Thanos attacked the Asgardian refugee ship at the beginning of Avengers: Infinity War, however, she was nowhere to be seen. So, where’s Valkyrie been all this time? As it turns out, this is something Thompson gets asked a lot, and when The LA Times recently quizzed her again about it, she had a humorous answer ready that, knowing the character, could actually be true.

“Sometimes I say she was just in the bar. She’s alive though because [Infinity War and Endgame filmmakers] the Russo brothers have said that, she’s not dead.”

Wherever Valkyrie is, she’s likely with Korg and Miek, as they were also missing from the Statesman in IW‘s opening scene. It’s long been theorized by fans that the trio could have guided the surviving Asgardians to somewhere safe after escaping the Mad Titan’s wrath. After all, one of the Endgame trailers suggested they might have settled in Scandinavia and Thor and Rocket might reunite with them during a side mission in the movie.

However she factors into the plot though, it looks like Valkyrie is sure to stick around the MCU. For one, the actress revealed that Thor 4 with director Taika Waititi has been discussed already while her Twitter friendship with Brie Larson will hopefully show Kevin Feige that we want her in the next Captain Marvel movie.

Regardless of where we see her next, Valkyrie will help the surviving heroes save the day when Avengers: Endgame hits cinemas in just a few short days on April 26th.
