For those curious to see what this emotional moment looked like before all the CGI was added in, Robert Downey Jr. took to Instagram last night with a BTS video, along with a caption describing the scene as “movie magic.”

As Tom Holland’s lines in the clip imply, Peter rose from the dead unaware that five years had passed. What’s more, we know that resurrected victims of the snap didn’t age during this period, leaving the Marvel universe with a whole load of tricky consequences for future movies to address.

In the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home, for instance, Peter will be returning to school for the first time in half a decade. And while many of Spidey’s classmates will have started college by now, fellow snap victims like Ned and MJ remain the same age as him.

Another major Endgame development that Far From Home is expected to address is the introduction of alternate realities. In the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel’s latest trailer, it’s even said that Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio comes from another Earth, and that the snap tore a hole in Peter’s dimension.

Lastly, on a more personal level, the upcoming film will see the wall-crawler dealing with Iron Man’s death. The aforementioned trailer suggests that Peter is taking Tony’s demise in Avengers: Endgame pretty hard, but we’ll no doubt learn more on the matter when Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters on July 2nd.
