First Terminator: Dark Fate Teaser Trailer Drops, Full Thing Coming Thursday

Ahead of the first trailer dropping this Thursday, we now have a quick teaser for the upcoming Terinator: Dark Fate, which hits theaters in November.

We highly doubt that anyone thought Terminator would still be one of the most-talked-about movie franchises in 2019. And yet, here we are: giddy with anticipation for the upcoming Dark Fate, the sixth mainline installment in Skynet Skydance’s beloved sci-fi series.

On directing duties for this one is Tim Miller of Deadpool fame, and along with the studio, he’s rounded up an all star ensemble cast made up of familiar faces (Hamilton! Schwarzenegger!) and new characters alike. As such, it’s small wonder that Terminator: Dark Fate is said to be something of a fresh start for this legendary franchise, and though this wouldn’t be the first occasion where we’ve described a new Terminator movie as another beginning (see: Genisys), it’s hard to deny that there’s a real sense of excitement hovering around the project.

That’ll only heighten in the coming days, too, as the first trailer will be with us on Thursday. Taking to Twitter a few hours ago, Arnie shared the above teaser along with the following caption:

Since I’m from the future I can officially report that the @Terminator trailer is 48 hours away.

So, not too long to go then until we get our first proper look at the film, and frankly, we can’t wait. After all, Dark Fate will be the first Terminator movie since Judgment Day to feature Linda Hamilton, and also the first in just as many years to involve series creator James Cameron, who’ll be handling producing duties this time around. And as for those aforementioned new characters, we’ve got Gabriel Luna as a Terminator with the ability to split into two separate units, and Mackenzie Davis playing a soldier-assassin named Grace.

All things considered then, this reboot has all the makings of a hit for the franchise – something it sorely needs – and you can judge for yourself if it’ll be the return to form we’ve been promised it is when the first Terminator: Dark Fate trailer hits the web this Thursday, before it arrives in theaters on November 1st, 2019.
