Here’s How Sebastian Stan Could Look As The Riddler In The Batman

The Winter Soldier is interested in playing The Riddler, and one fan has given us a glimpse at what Sebastian Stan might look like as Edward Nigma.

If there’s one film we desperately want to know more about, it’s definitely The Batman. When it comes to the DC Extended Universe, Warner Bros. has made some missteps with the Caped Crusader in the past, but we’re keen to see where Matt Reeves (of Cloverfield and War for the Planet of the Apes fame) takes the franchise. Of course, while the film’s creative team has largely been reported on in the past, the cast is an entirely different can of worms.

Last week, independent articles from both The Hollywood Reporter and Variety indicated that Twilight star Robert Pattinson would be donning the cowl; a reveal which was shortly followed by a requisite “freak out” on social media, and a predictable petition to undo recent casting decisions. Aside from news regarding Pattinson though, plenty of other A-listers have thrown their hat into the ring when it comes to playing the Dark Knight’s iconic villains. Frozen and Beauty and the Beast star Josh Gad has been eyeing the role of Penguin, while Sebastian Stan (yep, the Winter Soldier himself) wants to be The Riddler.

Now, thanks to one talented fan, we can see a glimpse at what the Avengers: Endgame actor would look like as the master of riddles.

Well-known artist and Photoshop extraordinaire BossLogic took to his Instagram a few days ago to share his take on what Stan’s Riddler might look like, should he land the role in Reeves’ upcoming film. Unsurprisingly, the post has racked up well over 60,000 likes, and it seems that plenty of fans were thrilled with how this piece of art turned out.

Personally, we’d love to see Stan making the jump over to DC, and though we haven’t heard anything about it happening just yet, we’ll be sure to share any official casting information for The Batman as announcements are made.
