The first poster for Terminator: Dark Fate, the sixth entry in the series, landed online yesterday and now, to follow that up, we’ve got the very first trailer. And honestly, it already looks better than the last three Terminator films combined.

Giving us a pretty meaty preview of the hugely anticipated sequel, what we see here is definitely promising, with a gritty aesthetic, some top notch effects work, exciting action and, of course, Arnie! Yes, he said he’d be back and the iconic actor is indeed present and accounted for in this new trailer – even if it’s only for a few brief seconds. But he’s not the only big name in the cast.

Gabriel Luna, Mackenzie Davis and Linda Hamilton will be along for the ride as well, while we should also mention that Dark Fate will herald the return of James Cameron, the director of the first two (and arguably only good) entries in the Terminator series, who’s helping out in a producing capacity.

On directing duties for this one, meanwhile, is Tim Miller of Deadpool fame, and with the pic said to be something of a fresh start for this legendary franchise, we can’t wait to see what he’s cooked up. Thankfully, this first bit of footage is hugely promising, and you can judge for yourself if the sequel will be the return to form we’ve been promised it is when Terminator: Dark Fate boots into theaters around the world on November 1st, 2019.
