Batman Battles Iron Man In Awesome New Fan Video

A new fan video is doing the rounds that features Ben Affleck's Batman taking on Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man in a mashup of recent Marvel and DC movie clips. Though this would obviously never happen in real life, it gives us a fun look at what would go down if the two extraordinary humans decided to have it out.

Given Tony Stark’s recent heroics in Avengers: Endgame, you’d probably think he’d be the favorite against Batfleck. Without spoiling the ending though, creator Billy Crammer shows that Iron Man’s technological advantage is finely matched by the Dark Knight when using the suit worn in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Crammer’s edits are remarkably consistent at merging Batman’s climactic slugfest with Superman with various footage of Tony Stark from across The Avengers and Iron Man series. Credit to him for matching the gloomy tone of Zack Snyder’s effort with some of the bleaker battle scenes of the typically breezier Marvel movies as well.

Although the reason behind the fight isn’t set up in the video, Stark arrives on a rooftop to face off against Batman, whose Superman-targeting weaponry is just as effective against Iron Man’s suit. We even get some suitable moments from inside Tony’s helmet as he ramps up his fight against the Dark Knight. The key beats of the Batman and Superman fight play out well over clips of Iron Man taking damage, even throwing in some hand-to-hand combat.

Some of the brawling sequences seems to be from the Thanos scraps in Infinity War and possibly Avengers: Endgame. There also appears to be some doubling of Batman for Steve Rogers in Captain America: Civil War, although Crammer’s slick editing does an excellent job at blending together the action from respective DC and Marvel films.

We’re all for a good mashup, whether it’s Child’s Play and Toy Story, or Deadpool and Beauty and the Beast. This fan edit is particularly well-made, though, and highly recommended if you want to see how two comic titans might fare in a one-on-one battle of epic proportions.
