Thor 4 May Not Arrive Until 2023

If you've seen Avengers: Endgame, then you know how it gave Tony Stark and Steve Rogers some beautiful sendoffs. When it came to Thor, however, it became apparent that his time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is far from over. And even though the Mouse House has other cash cows such as Black Panther and Captain Marvel to rely on these days, it certainly doesn't hurt to have one of the old guard hanging around.

Having said that, True Believers the world over are probably wondering when Thor 4 will storm cinemas. Earlier this month, word got out that such a thing is being discussed behind closed doors, but now “TheMarvelScoopMaster” is back to offer some reassurance by, um, mastering more scoops.

This time around, the proven reliable source is saying that the Asgardian Warrior’s next solo outing probably won’t arrive until 2023, but he “may pop up in other films so that you don’t notice it [the gap between Ragnarok and Thor 4, whatever it may be called].”

Speaking of which, it wouldn’t be insane to assume Chris Hemsworth will reprise the role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 because, after all, that’s pretty much what was hinted at when we last saw him in Endgame. If so, that’d be a great way to tide us all over.

If there’s to be any reason for the wait, it’s because Marvel Studios likely wants to add second installments to fresher franchises like Black Panther, Captain Marvel and Doctor Strange – not to mention launching others such as The Eternals and Shang-Chi.

Regardless, if Thor 4 is indeed on the Phase 4 docket, then we should hear something at the D23 Expo in August. Don’t forget, that’s when Marvel’s next wave of movies will be announced, so stay tuned.
