It’s been a great year thus far for Chris Hemsworth and it looks like it’s only going to get better. The Australian actor recently starred as Thor in the record-shattering blockbuster Avengers: Endgame and has just become a prominent piece of another huge franchise by appearing alongside Tessa Thompson in Men in Black: International. Now, the beloved 35-year-old will be immortalized forever in Tinseltown with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Hemsworth will be enshrined alongside fellow legends such as Spike Lee, Julia Roberts, Octavia Spencer, Mahershala Ali, Andy Cohen, Christina Applegate, Terry Crews, 50 Cent, Alicia Keys, Billy Idol and more. Even Batman is finally getting the recognition he deserves. Hopefully, Bruce Wayne and Thor can put the DC vs. Marvel feud aside for a little while to enjoy each other’s accomplishments.
It’s likely that many of the superstars from the MCU will come out to Hemsworth’s ceremony to celebrate his induction, too. And if the franchise continues to make money at such an unprecedented pace, then it won’t be long before most or even all of the mainstays in the series receive a star of their own. Robert Downey Jr., Paul Rudd, Chris Pratt and more have already been celebrated at the occasion, so it’s not out of the question that soon everyone involved will get their own moment in the sun as well.
Outside of Marvel, Hemsworth has appeared in plenty of other well-known films. Movies like The Cabin in the Woods, Snow White and the Huntsman and In the Heart of the Sea all helped endear the actor to audiences who may not be as interested in superhero films. His complete resume helped Hemsworth become a household name and earn his place alongside some of the biggest icons in Hollywood history.
It’s currently unknown when his ceremony will be, but fans should be excited to see the Aussie’s induction regardless, as well as what’s up next for Thor. Hemsworth has hinted at some ideas he’d like to see, though nothing is official as of yet.
Both Avengers: Endgame and Men in Black: International are still in theaters though for those who want a glimpse of the actor’s talent before the upcoming induction.
