Tons Of Stranger Things Fans Binged Season 3 Instead Of Celebrating July 4th

As evidenced by these Tweets, it looks like a lot of Stranger Things fans chose to binge the new season instead of celebrating July 4th.

The gory third season of Stranger Things has been out for couple of days now and already fans are pining for more. Unfortunately, no official announcement on a renewal has come our way just yet, but it seems inevitable that the Emmy-award winning show will return.

After all, the latest run of the hit series is going down unbelievably well with Netflix subscribers so far, with season 3 currently holding an 89% critic score and 92% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes at the time of writing. Not only that, but it’s proving to be just as binge-worthy as seasons 1 and 2 as well. In fact, it looks like a lot of people chose to spend yesterday running through the new batch of episodes rather than celebrate Independence Day.

Taking to Twitter, tons of fans showed their love for Stranger Things and let everyone know how they were spending their time on July 4th. While most were probably out drinking beers, having BBQs and seeing family, lovers of Netflix’s hit show clearly had other things in mind.

If you’ve already seen season 3, or at least caught the first few episodes, you’ll know that it’s another excellent outing for Stranger Things and one that like we said above, has fans begging for more. We imagine Netflix will give us just that, too, as there are far too many unanswered questions to just pull the plug now.

Not to mention that the series is more popular than ever and producer Shawn Levy has already promised us that another season will happen:

“I mean I will say we have a good sense of stuff that happens in season four. Season four is definitely happening. There’s very much the possibility of a season beyond that one, that’s currently undecided.”

Of course, it’s ultimately up to Netflix and not Levy, but again, we’re confident that we’ll be seeing more and in the meantime, we’ve now got the terrific third season of Stranger Things to enjoy and watch over and over again while we wait for our next trip to Hawkins.
