Washington woman visits CVS Target pharmacy and a man suddenly goes ballistic over standing in the feminine products aisle: ‘Next is the sexual products’

In 2026? Seriously?

Women have worked day in and night to lift the taboo off feminine hygiene and related products. Yet, when Washington creator Kayla Nelson (@kaylaraenelson) stood in the feminine products aisle at her local CVS pharmacy, a man was allegedly a little too uncomfortable

In a TikTok storytime video that equal parts funny and concerning, Nelson broke down a bizarre confrontation she witnessed while standing in queue. She watched in awe as her simple pharmacy pick-up allegedly turned into a full-blown public scene over basic hygiene inventory.

A pharmacy queue stretched along the feminine products aisle at Target

Nelson explained that she was waiting in line at the CVS pharmacy desk located inside Target. The queue naturally stretched into one of the retail store aisles. Coincidentally, for Nelson and a few others, it was the feminine products aisle.

While most of the queue didn’t even noticed the surrounding products, a male customer allegedly began throwing an unprovoked fit. The man started loudly complaining to the floor staff. He was supposedly outraged over the fact that the waiting line happened to be positioned in front of pads and tampons.

According to Nelson, the man insisted that customers “shouldn’t have to stand” in that specific section while waiting for their prescriptions.

The CVS worker had the ultimate comeback for the man’s complaint

The pharmacy employee behind the counter calmly tried to defuse the situation. They reminded the man that floor layouts are set by corporate policy. “We don’t make that choice. Like, that’s Target,” the worker explained.

Allegedly refusing to back down, the man aggressively pressed for an immediate relocation. He asked if the entire line could just shift over, according to Nelson. “Can we just go to the next aisle?” he demanded.

Without missing a beat, the worker shut down his request with a sharp reality check: “Well, that’s the sexual products.”

Why do some people still treat the feminine products aisle as a taboo place?

The shopper’s alleged but bizarre meltdown highlights a surprisingly persistent social stigma surrounding basic hygiene products. Despite period products being everyday medical and personal necessities, some people still treat the simple presence of the feminine products aisle as an embarrassing public scandal.

Retail stores place pharmacy counters near health and wellness aisles for efficiency and spatial logic. Treating standard hygiene inventory like hazardous material doesn’t protect anyone’s modesty. It simply turns a normal retail chore into an awkward, unnecessary confrontation.

Nelson was left baffled by the man’s extreme reaction

Reflecting on the incident from her car, Nelson couldn’t get over the absurdity of the entire alleged exchange. She admitted she hadn’t even paid attention to the surrounding shelves until the man made such a massive scene.

“Is that wrong? Is that inappropriate to stand in the feminine products aisle?” Nelson asked her viewers with a laugh. “Nobody else is paying that close of attention to it. That was just wild.” After all, standing near pads and tampons while waiting for a prescription isn’t a crisis.

If standard hygiene supplies triggers panic for someone, perhaps online ordering or home delivery is the best option for them. Have you ever witnessed someone make a completely dramatic scene over something totally normal in a store aisle?
