Titans Star Teases Batman And Robin Teaming Up For Season 2

Right now, a lot of fans are asking "will they or won't they?" when it comes to Iain Glen suiting up as Batman in Titans' second season. Granted, common sense would dictate as much because he's been cast as Bruce Wayne, but you never know which limitations are put on DC TV shows so that they don't step on the toes of WB's motion picture division. In other words, keeping season 1's Batman fantasy separate from Glen's out-of-costume Bruce may be a reality we'll have to accept.

If you’ve been keeping up with news pertaining to the series, then you’ve probably read about how Glen donning cape and cowl may not actually happen because the producers want to focus more so on Bruce’s complicated relationship with Dick Grayson. But interestingly enough, we now have some visual evidence to present that could contradict such information.

Thanks to Curran Walters, who plays Jason Todd on the show, we can peep this image showing two chairs on set which have been reserved for “Jason Todd/Robin” and “Bruce Wayne/Batman.” Seen below, the photo in question was uploaded to the young actor’s Instagram page.

On the one hand, the chair set aside for the supposed Dark Knight could just be something that was innocuously labeled. But on the other, it could’ve been labeled quite literally, and we may very well see Glen kicking ass alongside the second Boy Wonder.

Personally, I’m hoping for the latter. I mean, why even cast an actor of Glen’s caliber – or anyone else for that matter – as Bruce Wayne with no intention of having him wear the Batman costume? And from their perspective, they’d forever look at that suit as being out of reach if the occasion never arose.

Titans returns for its second season on Friday, September 6th on DC Universe.
