Rachel Roth Goes Full Raven In New Titans Season 2 Photo

From where I'm sitting, this has been a pretty good week for those of us awaiting Titans' sophomore season. First, we got a brand new look at Minka Kelly's Dove, and then the first trailer hit the web. Of course, those of you who had the pleasure of attending San Diego Comic-Con had already viewed the latter, but the rest of the world has now had the opportunity to partake in the fun.

So, while newcomers like Deathstroke, Superboy and Aqualad steal the attention, it’s important we not forget the veterans carrying over from the first season. After all, what would this show be without core characters such as Dick Grayson, Raven, Starfire and Beast Boy?

Actually, it’s somewhat premature addressing two of those folks by their superhero codenames, but that’s just force of habit when it comes to us comic book readers. Addressing Rachel Roth specifically, we can finally expect to see her go full Raven in season 2, as evidenced by the photo seen below which was posted to Instagram by actress Teagan Croft herself.

Now, you have have seen her appear as such in the aforementioned trailer, but still images do wonders with helping us take in details. As you can see, her signature gem adorns her forehead and the hair color is more purplish than before.

If the source material is to point us in the right direction, then we must assume this shot comes after the team has triumphed over Rachel’s father, Trigon, and that he’s imprisoned within that very gem. Should you require a quick primer on this concept, then check out the animated movie Justice League vs. Teen Titans once you’re done reading this article.

Titans returns with new episodes on Friday, September 6th on DC Universe.
