Brad Pitt is the latest Hollywood megastar to announce he is “over” acting, according to /Film. The actor told 60 Minutes that he plans on ending his acting career in three years in order to get behind the camera.
“I am really enjoying the producing side and development of stories and putting those pieces together. And getting stories to the plate that might have had a tougher time otherwise, so…You know, I have gotten away with a few things in writing and I have been pissed off about a few things.”
To be honest, I’m disappointed. Brad Pitt is one of the few actors who can make both commercially and critically successful movies that I actually like seeing. I’m always annoyed when actors make comments like this, because it’s almost like they’re taking their fame for granted by forgetting about what made them famous in the first place.
I can only hope that he forgets this idea and continues to churn out quality films, like he’s been doing for so many years now.
