Bill Maher Slams Comic Book Readers, Calls Out Superhero Movies
Shortly after Stan Lee’s tragic passing late last year, Real Time host Bill Maher stirred up some controversy online (and that's putting it lightly) with an incendiary blog piece. The ignorant and uncalled for article saw the comedian and TV personality use Lee's death as a jumping off point for what became a blanket criticism of comic book culture in general, with Maher essentially telling us he thinks comics are simply an unimportant and juvenile art form, one which doesn't deserve to be taken seriously.

Samuel L. Jackson Says He’s Happy To Return To Star Wars
It's no secret that the Star Wars prequels had a way of draining the charm and personality out of even the most talented and charismatic of actors. At least, for the most part. When it came to Samuel L. Jackson though, that wasn't quite the case, as the legendary performer emerged from the oft-ridiculed trilogy mostly unscathed. True, his turn as Mace Windu was weighed down by some rough dialogue, but the Jedi master made a strong impression with fans and to this day folks are still calling for him to wield the purple lightsaber once more.

After four seasons of name-checks and nods, Lex Luthor will finally debut in the Arrowverse later this season on Supergirl. Yes, as you've surely heard by now, Superman's nemesis will be brought to life this time by Two and a Half Men star Jon Cryer, whose DC history goes back to 1987's Superman IV: The Quest for Peace when he played Lex's dim-witted nephew Lenny.

The Punisher EP Says They’re Ready To Go For Season 3
The Punisher's second season arrived over the weekend and given how enjoyable it was, it should've been a time to celebrate for fans of the antihero. However, with the current state of the streaming service's corner of the MCU, it was actually a bittersweet weekend for many. Though it's great to have more of Frank Castle on our screens, the fanbase also can't help but to think that it'll surely be any day now before the show receives the axe.

Ghostbusters Reboot Director Supports Leslie Jones Slamming The New Movie
2016's Ghostbusters definitely didn't make the impact that Sony was hoping for. They no doubt figured they were onto a winner by revitalizing a beloved franchise and enlisting an all-female cast when such a thing was becoming more common. Unfortunately though, this decision was lambasted by a fair amount of people on social media and the film, when it ultimately hit theaters, earned mediocre reviews and underperformed at the box office.

Channing Tatum May Direct The Gambit Movie Himself
At this point, the internet is intensely skeptical that Gambit will ever make it into theaters. We've been writing about various permutations of the film for years, as it cycles through directors and continues to get delayed further and further. But back in the fall, 20th Century Fox announced that the pic would finally hit cinemas on March 13th, 2020. And while that's great to hear, not everyone's buying it.
