Black Panther Testing Extremely Well, Sequel Talk Apparently Underway
Can you feel it? We sure can. There's a palpable sense of excitement in the air, swirling around Ryan Coogler's upcoming Black Panther, which will claw its way into theaters on February 16th. With what's been a tremendous marketing campaign now winding down, and advanced ticket sales for the film promising big numbers at the box office, all signs point to another monster hit for Marvel, and we'll know soon enough if that's indeed the case.

Black Lightning Wasn’t Designed To Be Part Of The Arrowverse
Following Supergirl's move from CBS to The CW, the network now has four superhero TV series on the air. The others are, of course, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Arrow, but a fifth will soon be added in the form of Black Lightning. While that's certainly exciting, those of you hoping that the titular hero will be seen standing side by side with characters from those other shows are going to be seriously disappointed.

Fox’s Gambit Movie Just Lost Its Director
The Gambit solo movie has come back from the dead more times than Freddy, Jason and Michael Myers combined. Though Channing Tatum has remained a constant, the film has cycled through pretty much every available director in Hollywood, coming close to full production on multiple occasions before creative clashes and scheduling conflicts sent the studio back to the drawing board.

Marvel’s Making A Black Widow Solo Movie, Blacklist Alum To Pen Script
Black Widow is a name with a notable legacy within Marvel comic book lore. Many women have carried that moniker, including Claire Voyant - one of the earliest costumed, super-powered women to appear in comics. While cinema audiences today associate the name with a cat-suited Scarlett Johansson, Black Widow has also been the name of not only a mystical being possessed by Satan, but also a Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. who was the ex-wife of Nick Fury. She's even been a serial killer with cannibalistic tendencies.
