Armie Hammer Joins 2:22
Armie Hammer is one of the many young actors who is currently finding their star rising in Hollywood. Risky Biz is telling us that the young thesp has joined a new psychological thriller called 2:22. This news comes shortly after the announcement of his involvement in two high profile films, The Lone Ranger and The Brothers Grimm: Snow White. 2:22 will be looking for buyers at Cannes and will be coming to us from director Paul Currie. The plot tells the story of "an air traffic controller named Dylan who is given a jolt when he narrowly avoids causing a mid air collision between two passenger planes."

The Lonely Island Release Turtleneck & Chain
The Lonely Island have released the title track from their new album, Turtleneck & Chain. The album drops May 10th and the title track features Snoop Dogg. Personally I hate this song but I generally do like The Lonely Island, and with features from artists like Akon, Justin Timberlake, Nicki Minaj and Rihanna on the album, I'm definitely looking forward to May 10th.

Anthony Mackie Looking To Join Gangster Squad And World War Z
Variety tells us that actor Anthony Mackie is looking to join two high profile films, Gangster Squad and World War Z. Currently at work on Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Mackie is in talks for both films but the roles that he's up for are not known. If he were to join Ruben Fleischer's Gangster Squad he'd be part of a fantastic cast that includes Sean Penn, Josh Brolin and Ryan Gosling. As for Marc Foster's World War Z, he would join Brad Pitt and Mireille Enos. So potentially, Mackie could have three very high profile projects added to his resume and likely he'd see his star rise.

Jeff Bridges Joining R.I.P.D.
Deadline is telling us that acting legend Jeff Bridges is going to be joining R.I.P.D. He'll star alongside Ryan Reynolds in the supernatural comedy. Robert Schwentke will direct and Bridges will be replacing Zach Galifianakis. Galifianakis had to drop out because Reynolds' schedule was too iffy since Warner Bros. has Reynolds locked into a Green Lantern sequel. Based on the Peter Lenkov comic, the film will tell the story of a group of police officers that are made up of the undead. Sounds kind of silly to me and not something that is instantly appealing, despite the two strong leads.

The Hangover Part II Release May Be Halted
The Hangover Part II may not see the light of day on May 26th, at least not if tattoo artist S. Victor Whitmill gets his way. THR is telling us that Whitmill, the man who designed the tattoo on Mike Tyson's face, which is the same tattoo that Ed Helms' character Stu has on his face, is suing Warner Bros. Apparently Whitmill holds a trademark on the design and he's asking for an injunction to stop Warner Bros. from releasing the movie. According to a document from the lawsuit, Warner Bros. didn't get permission from Whitmill to use the design.

Tom Felton Talks Rise Of The Apes
The August 5th release date is only a few months away so as expected, more and more news on Rise Of The Apes is trickling out. We saw the trailer a few weeks back and it was quite impressive. I'm excited for it and am eager to hear any new information that's made available. Luckily, Latino Review is bringing us some news today straight from the mouth of actor Tom Felton. Felton, no stranger to villain roles (he's Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films), is taking on the role of a human who mistreats apes in Rise Of The Apes. His mistreatment of them eventually leads to the uprising.

Hackers Selling Stolen PSN Data On Black Market
It's a bad time to be a gamer, well actually only a PS3 gamer. Sony's PSN saga continues to spiral down a seemingly never ending hole as today Destructoid tells us that the hackers are selling the personal data that they stole from the PSN. Apparently underground hacker black markets are eager to get their hands on the stolen data. Reports say that the hackers are auctioning off full names, addresses, dates of birth, phone numbers, email addresses, passwords, credit card numbers and expiry dates. Furthermore, apparently they also have security codes, which Sony has stated were not stolen. Hmmm.

Ben Kingsley Joins Sacha Baron Cohen’s The Dictator
Actor Ben Kingsley, actually that's Sir Ben Kingsley to you, has joined Sacha Baron Cohen's new film The Dictator. Variety tells us that after getting along so well on the set of Scorsese's Hugo Cabret, the two are teaming up again. The film is being described as a cross between Coming To America and Trading Places. Kingsley will play "one of two Middle Eastern characters who factor into the plot.” Ya, I know, real helpful right? Apparently the film revolves around "a dictator who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed."

Steven Soderbergh To Work With Channing Tatum On Stripper Pic
Looks like Steven Soderbergh has added another film to his schedule, despite the fact that he's stepping away from directing. According to Deadline, the director will team up with Channing Tatum (who stars in the director's upcoming film Haywire) for a film called Magic Mike, which is said to be Tatum's passion project. The film is an autobiographical tale for Tatum as it tells the stories of his days as a stripper. Tatum will play the main character who teaches "a younger dancer how to hustle his wares on stage and off." Reid Carolin will pen the script for what is said to be a low budget outing and Tatum will act as one of the producers. The film is aiming for a fall start date.
