Trailer For Roland Emmerich’s Anonymous
Roland Emmerich is an interesting filmmaker. When he's not busy destroying the world (Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow, 2012), he's giving us films that offer intriguing and unique looks at different periods of history (The Patriot, 10,000 B.C.). His newest film, Anonymous, deals with a time period and more importantly, a conspiracy that I've always been particularly interested in. Have you ever heard people say that William Shakespeare, despite being considered the world's greatest author, actually never wrote a single word. I know, crazy right? Well Mr. Emmerich doesn't seem to think so. Check out the plot summary for his new film below.

Fantastic Trailer For Warrior Starring Tom Hardy
Tom Hardy's upcoming film Warrior has had a bit of a troubled history. It was shelved for a while but when it finally debuted at CinemaCon last week it earned rave reviews. Now that Lionsgate knows that they have a hit on their hands they are starting to market it. Today we get the first trailer for the film and it really does look fantastic. With its September 9th, 2011 release date not too far off, it's time to start getting excited for this one. Gavin O'Connor will helm and in front of the camera will be Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton.

Third L.A. Noire Trailer Released Today
A third trailer for Rockstar's upcoming L.A. Noire was released today. The game is just over a month away (May 17 in the US and May 20 in the UK for PS3, 360 and PC) and it's still looking quite good. It's clearly going to be one of the must have games of 2011 and coming from Rockstar, gamers shouldn't expect anything less than superb. There is no doubt in my mind that this will be something special.

Javier Bardem Officially Joins The Dark Tower
This was pretty much all but confirmed but Deadline tells us today that actor Javier Bardem is closing his deal to join The Dark Tower. He was offered the role back in January and he has been the frontrunner for the past few months, leaping ahead of actors like Viggo Mortensen and Christian Bale. The Ron Howard/Brian Grazer/Akiva Goldsman team will be behind the film and will be adapting from the classic Stephen King novel. It's quite an ambitious project as it will cover three films and a TV series to complement it. Apparently Bardem is locked in for the first film (with options for the second and third) and the TV show that will air between the second and third film and act as a prequel.

Joe Wright Waiting On Saoirse Ronan And James McAvoy For Anna Karenina
Joe Wright's Hanna is set to open this weekend but he's already looking ahead to his next film, Anna Karenina, an adaptation of the classic Leo Tolstoy novel. He already has Keira Knightley locked in and now he's eyeing James McAvoy and Saoirse Ronan. Yup, he's one of those directors who likes to work with the same group of actors. Speaking to The Playlist, Wright gave an update on the film, he told them that, "Keira is confirmed, Jude Law is confirmed, Aaron Johnson is confirmed, Kelly Macdonald is confirmed, Benedict Cumberbatch is confirmed. I’m still waiting on Saorise and James."

David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis Picks Up Jay Baruchel
David Cronenberg's upcoming film Cosmopolis has picked up another cast member, Jay Baruchel. Baruchel will join an already impressive cast that includes Robert Pattinson, Keira Knightley, Paul Giamatti, Samantha Morton, Juliette Binoche and Mathieu Amalric. We've heard a lot of casting news on this film recently and I'm going to go ahead and guess that Baruchel will probably be the last piece of this puzzle. He'll play “the shy guy who founded the company, who acts as the trader’s conscience.” Based on Don DeLillo's novel, it looks like great material for a film.

Taken 2 Signs Maggie Grace To Star And Olivier Megaton To Direct
Things are starting to pick up with Taken 2. Initially, Liam Neeson wasn't on board, but now that he is officially set to star, things are moving. First piece of news is that actress Maggie Grace will reprise her role. Deadline doesn't tell us what part her character will play in the film but they do confirm her involvement. Next piece of news is that Olivier Megaton will direct the Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen script. Megaton has worked with Besson and Kamen in the past and he also helmed The Transporter 3. Currently he's at work on the Zoe Saldana action flick, Colombiana, which is also penned by Kamen and Besson. No start date is set yet for Taken 2 but it's expected to go in front of the camera sometime at the start of 2012.

Malcolm McDowell And Carrie-Anne Moss Join Silent Hill: Revelation
Latino Review is reporting that the next Silent Hill film, Silent Hill: Revelation has added two more cast members, Malcolm McDowell and Carrie-Anne Moss. Moss and McDowell will join a less than impressive cast that includes Adelaide Clemens, Kit Harington, Radha Mitchell, Sean Bean and Deborah Kara Unger. With the addition of Moss and McDowell, things are staring to slowly look up but I still don't have much faith in the film, especially because I didn't enjoy the first. Based on the survival horror videogame series from publisher Konami, the film will have Moss playing Claudia Wolf, the antagonist from Silent Hill 3 and McDowell will play Claudia's father, Leonard Wolf, a member of the cult that plagues Silent Hill, the Order.

Hesher Trailer Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt And Natalie Portman
Despite what Amy said in her Hesher review, I'm looking forward to seeing this one. With a cast that features one of my favorite actors (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), my favorite actress(Natalie Portman) and the undeniably funny Rainn Wilson, I have high hopes for this film. Behind the camera is Spencer Susser (who we'll have an interview with closer to the release, stay tuned) and co-writing the film is Animal Kingdom‘s David Michôd. You can see why I'm looking forward to this one. With the May 13th release date drawing closer, I guess I'll have a chance to see if my hopes are met. Check out the trailer and plot summary below.
