Craig Gillespie Ready To Helm Pride And Prejudice And Zombies
Deadline tells us that Pride and Prejudice and Zombies has finally found itself a director, and it's about time. The film has been something of a revolving door for directors, with names coming in and out quite frequently. Looks like the door is about to shut though as director Craig Gillespie is entering final negotiations to direct. Gillespie will replace Mike White, the most recent director to leave. You may remember Gillespie's name from Lars and the Real Girl, which he directed. He is also behind the upcoming Fright Night remake which stars Collin Farrell.

Joseph Kosinski Becomes The Highest Grossing First Time Director, So What?
According to Deadline, TRON: Legacy's Joseph Kosinski has becomes the highest grossing first time director in Hollywood. I guess having your first film pull in $399 million will do that to you. Kosinski has taken the title from J.J. Abrams who previously held it due to his film Mission Impossible 3 pulling in $397.5 million. Now on first glance this may seem impressive but really, it isn't. And it begs the question 'so what?'. Of course TRON: Legacy was going to make a killing at the box office. The budget was close to $170 million plus the exuberant amount of money Disney put into the marketing and promotion. No one expected it to make any less than a couple hundred million, at least.

Awesome Fan Made X-Men: First Class Opening Credits
X-Men: First Class seems to be everywhere lately. The promotion and marketing has really ramped up and rightfully so. The film is shaping up pretty nicely and it's looking to be one of the bigger films this summer. With it's June 3rd release date drawing closer, we're in the final stretch. Today we have another piece of promotion and this time it's fan made, not from the studio. What we get today is a very well done opening credits sequence for the film. It shows off the time period of the film (the 60s) and attempts to explain the relationships of the characters in the film. It also uses the theme song from the 90s cartoon version.

NBA Jam: On Fire Coming This October To XBLA And PSN
Following up on last year's NBA Jam reboot, EA is releasing NBA Jam: On Fire this October. Unlike last year's title, this one will be downloadable. It will arrive on the PSN and XBLA in October and no price has been set as of yet. It is hoping to boast a healthy set of new features though such as vastly improved AI, a co-operative online campaign, roster updates and more!

Randy Pitchford Says Developers Are Too Focused On Multiplayer
Randy Pitchford, CEO of Gearbox, has gone on record to say what most people have been thinking lately. And that is that developers are too focused on multiplayer. He may be right but is that really such a bad thing? Doesn't a game need some solid multiplayer to boost the replayability factor? Personally, once I go through a single player campaign once, I have very little desire to go through it again. Isn't it the multiplayer that keeps discs spinning in our consoles?

Exclusive Interview With Jon Lovitz On Casino Jack
Casino Jack was released on Blu-Ray and DVD today and in honor of the film's release, we sat down with one of its stars, Jon Lovitz. In the film, Lovitz plays Adam Kidan, the former owner of SunCruz Casinos and former president of Atlantic & Pacific Mattress Co. Kidan is an acquaintance of lobbyist Jack Abramoff (played by Kevin Spacey), and together they both end up pleading guilty to fraud charges. The film follows Abramoff and takes us through his career as he rises to power only to be caught up in a massive corruption scandal.

David Guetta Releases Where Them Girls At?
After premiering his new song in Brazil a week or so ago, David Guetta has officially released his new song, Where Dem Girls At? The song features Flo Rida and Nicki Minaj and takes on the role of the usual club music that we're used to hearing from Guetta. As usual, expect this one to be remixed to death and give it a week or two and it will start receiving excessive club play. But hey, it's a David Guetta track so what can you expect. It also features one of the hottest female MCs currently around, Nicki Minaj. So like I said, this one is going to be big. It also helps that it's quite catchy. After one or two plays it was already stuck in my head. Check it out below and let us know what you think.

Josh Hutcherson And Liam Hemsworth Join The Hunger Games
Well it's about time. After a ton of speculation, the two male leads for The Hunger Games have been confirmed. Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth will star opposite Jennifer Lawrence in Gary Ross' upcoming film. Hutcherson will play Peeta Mellark and Liam Hemsworth will play Gale Hawthorn. For weeks now almost every actor under the age of 25 has been rumored for these two roles. I'm glad to see we finally get some confirmation as the speculation was getting to be a bit too much. The film, which is based on a trilogy of novels, takes place "in a dystopic world, where teenagers are forced to participate in the annual “Hunger Games,” a fight-to-the-death televised event."

Kanye West Headlines Lollapalooza In Chile
Last night in Chile, Kanye West closed out the Lollapalooza concert by giving fans a solid set of some of his bigger hits. It looked like one hell of a show as West ran through songs like Through the Wire, Gold Digger, Run This Town, and Runaway, just to name a few. If you weren't there to see it live, which I assume most of you weren't, there are a couple videos out now that will give you a look at what you missed. Check them out below.

Did Elvis Mitchell See Source Code?
Wouldn't it be nice if film critics could be trusted? How convenient would it be if their opinions actually mattered? Imagine if you could actually take their reviews into consideration. This would all be preferable but unfortunately we live in a world where things are quite different. More often than not, famous film critics, who work for big corporations, don't actually see the films they are reviewing. Instead, they base the review on an early draft of the script they read, or perhaps an old cut of the film, or sometimes they simply just don't pay attention during the film and make up their mind ten minutes in, or even before they've seen the film.
