The news we have today isn't so much spoilers, as it is answers to questions about changes to the show now that it's outside the constraints of a typical television sitcom. Due to the massive success of The Hunger Games, Josh Hutcherson can likely have his pick of roles for quite a while. He could opt to go the major blockbuster route, sticking to adaptations of young adult novels that will rake in the cash, or he could get... darker. It looks like he's deciding to go the latter route, as he's now signed on to star in and produce Ape, the story of a man who's struggling with mental illness and a family secret.
Justin Lee holds a special place in the hearts of Arrested Development fans for his portrayal of the beloved one-worded adopted son Annyong. Fans of the show will certainly remember his memorable reappearance at the end of season 3 and may have also caught him on his new webseries One Warm Night.
When Disney purchased Lucasfilm, we knew there was the potential for far more than just a new trilogy of films set in a galaxy far, far away. Aside from spin-off films, many have hoped for various different television series set in the Star Wars universe. One popular pick has been something set between the events of Episode III and Episode IV, which is what Disney is now delivering in the form of Star Wars Rebels, an animated series which will air on Disney XD next year.
A new, extended trailer for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. recently hit the web, and fairly prominent in the footage was a mysterious black character played by J. August Richards. This led to some serious speculation among internet fan-boys, many of which assumed a cool black character surely would have to be the famous hero for hire, Luke Cage.
This episode, Something New, was absolutely phenomenal throughout. From start until 20 seconds to finish, every character had a quality story, with excellent, heartfelt moments, and so many doors opened for the future. But then, the mother was revealed, and it left a horrible taste going into season 9. Before you get angry about my distaste for the style of their reveal, hear me out.
With How I Met Your Mother finishing its penultimate season, the glaring question the show is built around will soon be answered. Fans have anxiously awaited the reveal of who Ted's wife is for the last 8 years as the character has dated a wide array of girls, from the awesome to the completely ridiculous.
There was never any question for dedicated fans of How I Met Your Mother as to whether any doubts about marrying Barney would ever be voiced by Robin, the only question was, how soon? Would it be when she called Ted in before her wedding, or would it not come until season 9? Something Old is the opportunity for her to finally voice the doubts and insecurities that have been festering beneath the surface since the engagement.
Third Contact, Simon Horrocks' directorial debut, was shot on a miniscule budget showing yet again that films don't need major studio funding in order to be excellent. The reviews for the film so far have been great, with one even referring to it as a "masterful piece of art."
