As soon as we heard that Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark would grace the cover of this month's Empire Magazine, we knew it was safe to assume that there would be some quality Iron Man 3 images included. Luckily, the newest issue definitely doesn't disappoint, as there are multiple quality photos in addition to the awesome cover.
Just when How I Met Your Mother had been able to string together a streak of quality episodes, redeeming the weakness that the start of season 8 were filled with, they decide to throw in Weekend At Barney's which is easily one of the worst episodes we've seen.
Quentin Tarantino has said that he has no intentions of becoming an "old director," which means our time seeing new work from the iconic mind behind Pulp Fiction, Inglorious Basterds, and Django Unchained is likely coming to a close. Now that he's set his ten film cap, the question everyone wants answered is what exactly will Tarantino's last couple films be about.
Documentary filmmaking is all about timing. If the story is there, it's a simple process of pressing record and editing it together. If the story isn't there, there's no hope for the film. After the public falling-out between Megan Fox and Michael Bay before Transformers: Dark of the Moon, it seemed that the odds of the two working together again were very slim. However, it turns out that the two have found a way to put their differences aside, as Fox is set to take on the role of April O'Neil in the Bay-produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The news we have today falls in the latter category. Although we can't confirm the reports that Mark Hamill will be back in his role as Luke Skywalker, we can confirm that Hamill is at least in talks for the role.
When it was announced that The Amazing Spider-Man would be rebooting Sam Raimi's Spider-Man Trilogy a mere 5 years after Spider-Man 3 hit theaters, many were extremely confused as to why a reboot was coming instead of a sequel, this writer included.
The varying perspectives story where multiple people give very different accounts of an event is nothing revolutionary for television, and certainly not for How I Met Your Mother, which is all told from Ted's subjective point of view. Fortunately, The Ashtray was able to overcome the lack of originality in premise and lack of strength in plot with a series of great jokes and an ultimate win for one of the show's most stagnant characters.
