With under a month to go until the release of Maleficent, Disney has premiered some new posters for the film. This batch includes Angelina Jolie looking as fierce as ever, Sam Riley as the shape-shifting Diaval, and another look at Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora.
Now that it's been a few weeks since the How I Met Your Mother finale aired, the dust has finally started to settle. It'll likely take quite some time before fans stop arguing about one of the most polarizing ends to a sitcom ever, but there's no changing the show now, so what we've got is what we've got. Instead of continuing to dwell on the finale, now is as good of a time as any to look back on the show as a whole. That's right, it's finally time to figure out which episodes of HIMYM are actually the best.
A few days ago, Neil Patrick Harris came to the defense of the How I Met Your Mother finale, which angered many longtime fans. That was on the heels of comments from Josh Radnor and the show's creators explaining why they thought the ending was totally appropriate. Now, the latest cast member to discuss the finale is Alyson Hannigan, though her comments are more of an explanation than a defense.
While some people are calling the How I Met Your Mother finale polarizing, I've yet to hear anyone say that they're a fan of how the show ended. Since the fiasco of an episode aired, various cast members and people involved in the show have publicly stood behind the decision to ruin everything that the iconic series stood for, with the most recent one being Neil Patrick Harris.
With only about 20 months to go until the release of Star Wars: Episode VII, it's a bit surprising that we've heard essentially nothing official about the film's plot or cast. Sure, J.J. Abrams is notorious for being extremely secretive about his movies, but with something of this scale, it seems like much more would have been announced, at least in terms of casting. That all may be changing in a few days, though, as it's rumored that announcements about the cast could come on May 4th.
After the massive success of Frozen, it makes sense that Disney would want to get Josh Gad involved in as many projects as possible. Sure enough, the Mouse House has brought him and his writing partner Ryan Dixon on board to pen a live-action action comedy with a sci-fi twist.
Zooey Deschanel and Anton Yelchin have been added to the cast of The Driftless Area, an upcoming dark comedy from Unified Pictures and Bron Studios. Based on Tom Drury's novel of the same name, the script for the film was written by Drury and Zachary Sluser, who will also be directing.
There's been no shortage of promotion for Gareth Edwards' Godzilla, with plenty of trailers and TV spots to get fans excited for the monster movie. The one thing that's been missing from the footage, however, has been the monster itself, or at least a solid look at it. Every glimpse so far was either a passing glance or shrouded by smoke, but that all changes today with Warner Bros.' newest TV spot.
Though we're getting sick of hearing it reiterated again and again, it looks like people just aren't going to stop asking questions about a crossover between Spider-Man and the Avengers. The topic came up again recently when The Amazing Spider-Man producer Avi Arad spoke with IGN, where he told them that the cross-over that many fans are begging for won't be happening any time soon.
With a little more than a month to go until its release, X-Men: Days Of Future Past has cemented itself as one of the most anticipated films of the spring. It makes sense as well when you look at what 20th Century Fox has done with their excellent promotion so far. Between an abundance of posters and images, some cool trailers and plenty of tantalizing clips, I'm sure many who didn't have the film on their radar a few months ago definitely do now. That smart marketing continued at this year's MTV Movie Awards, where the studio premiered a very exciting new clip from the film.
