Indie Developer Resigns After Threatening Gabe Newell
We recently reported on the indie game Paranautical Activity being pulled from Steam after one of its developers threatened to kill Valve CEO Gabe Newell over Twitter. Since then, the person behind the threats, Mike Maulbeck - co-owner of Code Avarice - has stepped down from the company, selling his half of the business to another employee.

Steam Pulls Game After Gabe Newell Receives Death Threats
It appears the tide of sending death threats over Twitter is still quite strong, as Valve recently removed a game from Steam after Gabe Newell received death threats from one of its developers. Paranautical Activity creator Mike Maulbeck is feeling the repercussions of broadcasting such threats over the Internet, all of which stemmed from an issue that he had with the way that Steam marketed the game.

Google Ready To Launch Their Nexus Player Set-Top Box
The current trend in digital entertainment right now is the ability to marry television, video streaming, gaming, internet connectivity and mobile technology all into one device. While Microsoft have yet to confirm whether the bundle is genuine, details have emerged on VG Leaks, along with two screenshots advertising the console deal on Austrian retailer site, Gameware.

Happy 125th Birthday, Nintendo!
Today marks a significant occasion in the video game industry, as Nintendo are celebrating their 125th birthday. Beginning life on September 23rd, 1889 in Kyoto, Japan, the gaming legends (originally called Nintendo Koppai) started out as a playing cards company, which proved popular right up until the 1950's, when they shifted into other ventures, including a taxi company, a chain of love-themed hotels, a food company and even a TV network.
