Nintendo Posts Financial Loss To The Tune Of $457 Million
Video game behemoth Nintendo has reported is financial results for the last twelve months. When the fiscal year ended on March 31st 2014, the results showed the company had posted a loss of 46.4 billion Yen (approximately $457 million). Plus, Nintendo's contribution to the new-gen market, the Wii U, sold only 2.72 million units over the past year, just under the revised estimates of 2.8 million predicted back in January 2014.

Ed Boon: No Chance Of Seeing Classic Mortal Kombat On Wii U
Fans of the classic Mortal Kombat games will be disappointed to hear that there won't be any chance of seeing older versions ported to Nintendo's Wii U. Ed Boon, creator of the esteemed fighting franchise, made the announcement through his Twitter profile yesterday. The tweet was in response to a fan question asking if there was zero percent chance of a virtual console version of the first three Mortal Kombat games.

Sony Registers Web Domains For Possible BioShock Movie
A little over a year ago, BioShock's own Ken Levine pulled the plug on a potential movie adaptation of the highly-successful game. However, in a new twist, Sony Pictures has recently registered three web domains related to the BioShock franchise, according to Joystiq.com. The report shows that Sony holds exclusive rights to bioshock-movie.com, bioshock-movie.net and bio-shock.net. While the websites have no content to speak of, strong rumours about a possible Bioshock adaptation will no doubt begin circulating once more, though the possibility of a movie has never truly gone away.

Retail Version Of Minecraft For PS3 Coming May 16th
Minecraft's continued success and dominance of the indie game market is showing no signs of slowing down, as its developer, Mojang, has now announced that a retail version of the game will be released on May 16th for PlayStation 3. Writing on the PlayStation Blog, Chief Word Officer (CWO) Owen Hill made the announcement after revealing that the PS3 edition has been downloaded 1.5 million times since being released at the end of last year.

It seems there is no stopping the sandbox, open-world, block-based juggernaut that is Minecraft. As well as being the third best selling PC game of all time, recent reports indicate that the pocket edition has exceeded more than 21 million sales. This is according to a Tweet posted yesterday by Jens "Jeb" Bergensten, one of the developers.

Still waiting with baited breath for Ubisoft's hotly anticipated Watch Dogs? Well, we have some good news. The title is set for release on May 27th and apparently, Playstation 4 owners will be able to purchase the season pass alongside it. Gamestop recently advertised the season pass on their website.
