Just when you think you have seen every conceivable version of a found footage movie, one comes along with a fresh and unnerving angle. That movie is The Houses October Built, which was co-written and directed by Bobby Roe.

Moral and ethical boundaries are crossed with serious consequences in Felony, a new movie written by and starring Joel Edgerton. In the film, Edgerton plays Detective Mal Toohey, who is out celebrating with his crew after pulling off a successful drug bust. Despite having a few drinks, he feels okay to drive and gets behind the wheel. On his way home, however, he inadvertently clips a young boy riding his bicycle and he is seriously injured as a result.
Nightcrawler marks the directorial debut of screenwriter Dan Gilroy and tells the twisted tale of a young man who stumbles upon the underground world of Los Angeles freelance crime journalism. Jake Gyllenhaal stars as Louis Bloom, a character who exists in a world where it’s easier to get an internship or a minimum wage job than it is to get full time work, and he is scrambling to find anything that pays.
Juliette Lewis gives one of her best performances to date in the comedy/drama Kelly & Cal. In the film she plays the titular Kelly, a punk rocker turned suburban mom who feels out of place in the new town that she and her husband have just moved to. The truth is that she has become deeply nostalgic for a past she can no longer have, and she is very uncertain about the future she is expected to become a part of.
David Ayer’s Fury is one of the Fall's most anticipated films, and for good reason. It features a terrific cast and tells the exciting story of a World War II tank crew that ventures into Germany to take out what is left of the Nazis. Among the actors in the cast is Michael Pena, who plays Trini Garcia, the tank’s driver and one of the 350,000 Mexican Americans who served during World War II.

Kill The Messenger tells the true story of Gary Webb, a journalist who in the 1990’s uncovered the CIA’s role in importing enormous amounts of cocaine into the United States. The cocaine was then sold in the most crime-ridden cities in the country in an effort to raise money for the Nicaraguan Contras rebel army in their efforts against the Sandinista government.
