Silent Hill: Downpour Drips Into Quarter 1 2012 Territory
The virtual forecast has been released, letting us know that Silent Hill: Downpour has been delayed. Its water-based, nightmarish descent into madness will now begin sometime in fiscal quarter 1 of 2012. Being that Downpour is my most-anticipated upcoming game, this news comes as a bit of a downer, though I'm always willing to wait for a game if it means improvements are being made to the final product.

Gamers who grew up in the nineties certainly know what to think of when they hear the terms, "He's on fire!" and "Boomshakalaka!" Now, a new generation of gamers is able to experience over-the-top, arcade basketball on their high-definition video game consoles, with the release of NBA Jam: On Fire Edition. The second release in the franchise by EA Sports, who took over the series after Midway's bankruptcy, is a downloadable affair. It's available for an affordable fifteen dollar price tag. Your entry fee provides a fun and nostalgic look back at one of gaming's most popular sports titles, with only the odd change to be found. With that being said, the dorm room battle season is surely to heat up again.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 Review
Regardless of which name you prefer to call it by, soccer is the world's most beloved sport. Referred to as the beautiful game, it's played around the globe, with methodical action and counteraction mechanics. Over the years, its transitions to interactive video gaming have mainly taken two distinctly different forms; the more realistic and authentic simulation types and fast-paced, arcade trick battles. Konami's recent release of Pro Evolution Soccer 12 does a good job of establishing itself as a predominantly simulation effort, with some arcade elements included. Faster-paced gameplay mixes with realistic maneuvers, complemented by helpful speed boosts.
