Dead Island: Riptide Will Stalk Retail Store Shelves In April
Through press release means, Deep Silver has revealed its targeted North American release date for Dead Island: Riptide, in addition to the game's worldwide launch date. Residents of Canada and the United States will be able to purchase the second instalment in the zombie-filled series on April 23, while others will have to wait until April 26.

Assassin’s Creed III Now Has A Launch Trailer
It's currently October 29, which means that we're less than a day away from Ubisoft's much-anticipated launch of Assassin's Creed III. The game, which many have pegged as a Game of the Year contender without having played it, is sure to sell like hotcakes once the calendar receives another red X. Of course, that's not a surprise, considering how great its pre-release media has looked, as well as how impressive my brief hands-on time with it was.

Dishonored DLC Details Have Surfaced
Those who've fallen in love with Dishonored and its architecturally visceral steampunk city of Dunwall, will be happy to hear that the game is scheduled to receive its first downloadable add-on in December. Following that marketplace debut, two story-based packs will be released, with the first one telling the story of Daud, the leader of "The Whalers" - a team of supernatural assassins.

Hitman: Absolution Features A Hollywood Cast
Through press release means, Square Enix has announced that, much like Sleeping Dogs before it, IO Interactive's Hitman: Absolution features a recognizable celebrity cast. In fact, found within the list of actors who lent themselves to the game through motion capture and recording devices, sits Powers Boothe, along with Keith Carradine, Vivica A. Fox and Shannyn Sossamon. They may not be some of Hollywood's elite these days, but they're quality actors nonetheless, and their inclusion should lend a lot of authenticity to the assassination-focused title.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf Confirmed For North American Release
Thanks to today's Nintendo Direct livestream, we now know that the company's previously announced 3DS Animal Crossing title will, in fact, make its way onto North American shores. That's great news for all of the series' fans, including myself, though I fear how much time I'll lose after placing the cartridge into a 3DS and pressing the power button. At least it'll be a fun addiction, though.

The folks behind Far Cry 3 would like you to meet Hoyt, who just so happens to be another one of the in-game island's many psychopaths. A powerful slave trader, drug producer, explosives lover and gambler, he's a pivotal part of the region's unlawful economy and must be stopped. Of course, it won't be easy, and blood will have to be shed, but that's what we expect from first-person shooters. After all, they're not populated by nice guys and kittens.

Forza Horizon: Learn More About The Horizon Festival And All That It Entails
Forza Horizon, the series' first subtitled entry, is actually named after a car culture festival, which acts as the game's propelling focus. Known as the Horizon Festival, it's full of life, with high tempo music complementing fast driving and creative maneuvers. Needless to say, it's a divergence from the popular franchise's more traditional past, but that's definitely not a bad thing.
