Star Trek: The Motion Picture Returning To Theaters For Its 40th Anniversary
Star Trek: The Motion Picture was a hugely important moment in the history of the franchise. After the original series was cancelled in 1969, the future of Star Trek was up in the air. Fortunately it started doing very well in syndication, gradually growing a passionate fanbase that continues to grow larger each year. Based on this, Gene Roddenberry convinced Paramount Pictures that a feature film was the way to bring these much-loved characters back, with the success of Star Wars and Close Encounters of the Third Kind convincing studios to take a chance on it.

Natalie Portman Promises She’ll Get Jacked For Thor: Love And Thunder
One of the biggest surprises to come out of Marvel's panel at the San Diego Comic-Con was that Natalie Portman would be returning to the MCU in Thor: Love and Thunder. Given that there has been numerous reports that Portman was unhappy with the way her character Jane Foster was treated in Thor and Thor: The Dark World, combined with the fact that she only appeared in Avengers: Endgame via unused footage, and, y'know, the small fact that she's one of the most popular actors in the world, most assumed her stint in the MCU was over. But it looks like Taika Waititi has successfully tempted her back with a script where she becomes Thor: Goddess of Thunder. And honestly, who could turn that down?

Kevin Feige Says Marvel Almost Revealed Phase 5 At Comic-Con As Well
Marvel Studios has given us a hell of a lot to get excited about lately. We expected them to hype up projects like Black Widow, Eternals and Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. What we didn't expect, though, was announcements like Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch teaming up in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Natalie Portman taking up the hammer in Thor: Love and Thunder and, completely out of left field, a new Blade movie. But this smorgasbord of MCU information could have been even bigger.

Robert Downey Jr's Tony Stark was the core of the MCU. His performance as Tony Stark in 2008's Iron Man drew universal praise and went a long way towards making the film a hit. EW Reveals Stephen Amell’s New Costume For Arrow Season 8
Over the last decade, Arrow has continually defied expectations. Its first few episodes were met with a collective shrug from critics, none of whom foresaw that it was the harbinger of many more superhero shows. Since then it's built a substantial and passionate fanbase and spawned its own televised DC Universe, appropriately known as the Arrowverse. But Arrow is finally coming to end this year. Its ten-episode eighth season will bring an end to the adventures of Oliver Queen (though I wouldn't rule out the character returning for the CW's perennial crossover specials).
