Back when they were filming A New Hope in 1976, many of the cast and crew thought that this strange movie wasn't going to be anything special. Alec Guinness famous hated the whole experience, saying "Can't say I'm enjoying the film - new rubbish dialogue reaches me every other day .. and none of it makes my character clear or even bearable". But since Star Wars has become a global cultural phenomenon, many actors consider appearing in these films to be an opportunity to participate in cinema history. And if this new behind-the-scenes video about Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is anything to go by, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac and John Boyega know how lucky they are.

With the shoot currently underway we've got a confirmation of the title (which is boring but accurate), a picture of Patrick Stewart in character as Picard and now, a look at the Starfleet uniforms the various crews will be wearing in the project. It's worth remembering that this show will be set further into the future than any previous Trek TV series, so the design will have Trekkies worldwide noting every tiny detail.

Regardless of your opinion of what went down, nobody can deny that Game of Thrones did in fact end. Long-running plotlines were resolved and Westeros was left in a state of relative stability now that most of your favorite characters have been variously pierced with arrows, crushed by rocks, beheaded and burnt alive. One of the more controversial developments in the final two episodes though was Daenerys Targaryen's quick evolution from spunky desert princess to a genocidal maniac who lost her mind and wiped out a city.

Petition To Replace Brie Larson As Captain Marvel Nears 25,000 Signatures
Captain Marvel - and specifically Brie Larson - has generated an incredible amount of controversy in 2019. Prior to release, the actress made some incredibly milquetoast feminist comments, which were seized upon by more unpleasant fans as ammunition to use against her. This developed into an avalanche of online negativity, which led many to conclude that Larson's feminist posturing had irrevocably doomed the movie and it would go down in history as Marvel Studios' first outright flop.

Sebastian Stan Reveals His Thoughts On Steve Choosing Falcon In Avengers: Endgame
There's a fair few fans that think Sebastian Stan's Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier was short-changed by both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Despite there being much fanfare in the former film about him receiving a shiny new Wakandan prosthetic arm, he proved to play a minor role in the climactic battle of that movie. He played even less of a role in Endgame though, turning up in the colossal final fight to shoot a gun ineffectually and then be overlooked as the successor to the Captain America mantle in favor of Sam Wilson/Falcon.

Sebastian Stan Hints That Avengers: Endgame May Not Be Chris Evans’ Last MCU Film
Avengers: Endgame did everything that was expected of it: busting box office records (and still in with a chance of besting Avatar as the all-time number one) and providing a satisfying conclusion to ten years of MCU plotlines. It also provided endings for the two central pillars of the first era of the MCU, with Robert Downey Jr's Tony Stark/Iron Man sacrificing himself to stop Thanos and Steve Rogers travelling back in time to finally romance Peggy Carter. The last we see of Rogers is him as an elderly man, with the fact that he's literally passing on the shield to Sam Wilson a symbol of him leaving the franchise.

Rocksteady Employee May’ve Accidentally Confirmed A Justice League Game
Ever since the release of Arkham Knight, fans have been wondering what Rocksteady is going to follow it with. Their Arkham trilogy set the standard for what a superhero video game could be, with the titles allowing you to be Batman in a way that no game before it ever managed. But Arkham Knight landed way back in 2015 and, other than the underrated Arkham VR, it's been radio silence ever since.

Is This How Marvel Will Bring Killmonger Back For Black Panther 2?
Michael B. Jordan's Erik Killmonger was one of the best villains the MCU has seen to date. As much as I love the MCU, its perhaps safe to say that its villains aren't particularly memorable. There are obvious exceptions like Thanos (and I have a big soft spot for Michael Keaton's Vulture), but Killmonger had a powerful political dimension that made Black Panther feel like a smarter superhero movie than most. His revolutionary plans to distribute Wakandan technology to people of color around the world were so enticing that many viewers sympathised with his plans.

Star Wars Fans Are Worried About Game Of Thrones Creators’ New Trilogy
When Disney announced that Game of Thrones co-creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss were writing a series of new Star Wars films, there was much rejoicing. After all, GoT is the benchmark for quality fantasy, providing years of top-tier entertainment that's politically complex, full of fascinating and charismatic characters and with extremely satisfying plotting. If they could turn their talents to a galaxy far far away, we might be in for something truly special. Then the final season began airing and it's safe to say that it hasn't exactly provided what fans wanted.
