Unused Suicide Squad Concept Art Features King Shark
I've always felt that King Shark is a deeply underrated DC supervillain. After a very tangled origin story that (I think) establishes him as the son of a Shark God and sets him up as an enemy for Superboy, he eventually settled into a comfortable life as a C-grade brawler with a neat gimmick who occasionally joined supervillain teams like the Secret Six and the Suicide Squad. These days, the character's probably most well known for his appearances on CW's The Flash, where he was voiced by Solid Snake himself, David Hayter.

Early Suicide Squad Concept Art May Tease A Glimpse Of The DCEU’s Bane
Recently unearthed Suicide Squad concept art has given us a look at two unused characters that never made it to the movie. One was a frankly completely hilarious looking take on King Shark, with the concept of a shark-man in a Hawaiian shirt perhaps being a little crazier than the film was willing to go. The other, however, might give us the first glimpse of the DCEU's take on one of the most iconic Batman villains of the 1990s: Bane.

Deadpool Creator Says Once Upon A Deadpool Is Unforgettable
When Fox announced they were filling the gap in their Christmas schedules left by the delays to Dark Phoenix and Alita: Battle Angel with a PG-13 cut of Deadpool 2, eyebrows were raised. After all, while the pic was an enormous R-rated hit, surely any enterprising kid who really wanted to see the movie would have found a way by now, right? And anyway, won't stripping all the violence and adult humor from the film result in a depressingly neutered cut?

Marvel Issues Statement On Daredevil Cancellation, Promises More To Come
As you've probably heard by now, Netflix's Daredevil has been cancelled. Ordinarily, the cancellation of a widely loved and critically acclaimed show that's just aired its best season to date would be a shock, but the writing had been on the wall for the one ever since Iron Fist and Luke Cage were canned. Even so, it'll surely dismay fans, who'd been so fearful of this particular outcome that the moment the third season aired they began campaigning for the show to receive a fourth season.

Not every piece of news I get to report on gets a 'hell yeah!' and a little fist pump out of me, but Nick Nolte being officially confirmed to appear in Jon Favreau's Star Wars series The Mandalorian? Hell yeah! *righteous fist pump* I have no idea what he's going to be doing in that galaxy far far away, but given his usual roles, it's probably safe to assume he's going to be some barely sane space hobo living way off the fringes of space-society.

But his upcoming role as Ted Bundy might put that squeaky-clean image to rest for good, as he'll play one of the most notorious serial killers in history in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, which will premiere at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival.

New Godzilla: King Of The Monsters Photo Debuts Ahead Of Next Trailer
The first Godzilla: King of the Monsters trailer was a highlight of this year's San Diego Comic-Con. To a haunting rendition of “Clair de Lune,” we got to see a Royal Rumble sized collection of classic Toho kaiju (Mothra! Rodan! King Ghidorah!), complete with characters staring up at them with religious awe and some truly apocalyptic looking imagery. Hopefully, Warner Bros. will want to keep that style going and I can't wait for this Saturday, when they release some new footage from the movie.

New Details On Kingsman Prequel Surface, Will Be A Period Drama
The Kingsman franchise has far exceeded expectations since the first movie was released in 2015. That was an enormous hit and was soon followed by Kingsman: The Golden Circle, which matched the original's box office to give the films a near billion dollar gross. With that success behind them, Fox is eager to get more Kingsman films into production, but while a Taron Egerton and Colin Firth starring sequel to The Golden Circle is currently being written, the next film in the franchise will be a prequel that delves into the history of the organization.

BBC Finally Releasing Tom Baker’s Final Doctor Who Season On Blu-ray
For a very long time, Tom Baker was the iconic Doctor. With his striking scarf, twinkling eyes and anti-authoritarian demeanor, the Fourth Doctor has gone on to influence the character more than almost any other. The Doctor Who revival series can't seem to resist referencing him, either, whether it be folks donning his iconic scarf, references to Jelly Babies or simply having him pop up as the mysterious Curator in the 50th anniversary special.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi Novelization Author Says Rey And Kylo Have More Than A Romance
The internet being what it is, there were Reylo shippers literally from the moment their characters were revealed in the run-up to The Force Awakens. The films themselves haven't exactly done much to disabuse us of this notion, either, with Star Wars: The Last Jedi showing them getting inside each other's minds with Force video conferencing, before that scene where, for a moment, it seemed that the pair might strike out on their own path away from the old First Order/Resistance dichotomy.
