With Stan Lee's death, many have been evaluating the creative genius that's taken Marvel's characters to world domination. Known popularly as the House of Ideas, Marvel have continually innovated, excited and surprised its audiences with creative leaps that have propelled them past their competitors. That's why it's a little frustrating to see that their just-announced big idea for February 2019 is Grek Pak's three-issue series Hulkverines, or what happens if you combine the powers of the Wolverine and the Hulk into a single villain, who was then fought by the two heroes.

Gorgeous New Poster For Live Action Dumbo Remake Flies Online
Disney's plan to remake their most beloved animation classics in live action has resulted in a non stop parade of hits, with Cinderella, The Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast all raking in the cash at the box office. Coming down the line are Aladdin, The Lion King and The Little Mermaid, but next on the slate is Tim Burton's take on the classic tale of a deformed orphan elephant with a humiliating name. I'm talking, of course, about Dumbo.

First Plot Details For Spawn Reboot Tease A Dark Adventure
It's looking like all the pieces are falling into place for Todd McFarlane's Spawn. He's got a great cast, including Jamie Foxx as the supernatural antihero Spawn and Jeremy Renner as NYPD detective 'Twitch', an impressive behind the scenes crew including The Walking Dead's gore guru Greg Nicotero and an apparently impressive script. The only hurdle he needs to get over is convincing a studio to officially greenlight the film. Though its a relatively low budget affair for a superhero movie, they may be baulking at the prospect of McFarlane taking the director's seat and the film's unorthodox approach to its hero.

Stan Lee's passing marks the end of an era in comics. He's perhaps the most influential comics writer of all time and is responsible for shaping the modern superhero. His death has resulted in an outpouring of emotional tributes from those who've worked with him and been influenced by his work. Most are familiar with his cameos in Marvel Studios movies, and many will have seen his typically energetic and charismatic personal appearances at conventions and premieres. It seems like that energy was present right up until his death, if this last known photo of Lee is anything to go by.

New Glass Photos Showcase The Hero, Villain And Mastermind
As someone who's been a long-time cheerleader for M. Night Shyamalan's Unbreakable I was inordinately pleased to hear about Glass. Ever since the surprisingly great (surprising given Shyamalan's recent output anyway) Split ended with an unexpected tie-in linking it to the Unbreakable universe I've been on tenterhooks waiting to see how they're going to bind the two films together, and where Bruce Willis' David Dunn and Samuel L. Jackson's Elijah Price are nearly two decades on from the events of Unbreakable.

Neil Gaiman Says Doctor Who Scripts Are Better Before BBC Messes With Them
Do too many cooks spoil the broth? That seems to be the opinion of Neil Gaiman on his experience with Doctor Who. The American Gods, Sandman and Neverwhere writer was doing a talk to promote his upcoming TV adaptation of Mervyn Peake's Gormenghast when he opened up on his frustrations with the changes the show makes to existing scripts. Gaiman is working with Being Human's Toby Whithouse on Gormenghast, and discussed the day when both his and Whithouse's script were having a table read:

Star Trek Finally Confirmed Discovery’s Place In The Continuity
The first season of Star Trek: Discovery received a generally warm reaction from fans, but many had reservations about the awkward way the show fit into established Trek continuity. As a prequel you'd expect it to feature technology inferior to that seen on The Original Series, and yet in many ways, it features advancements beyond what we'd seen right up until the current finale of Trek with Star Trek: Nemesis. And then there's the awkward fact that we never hear mention of any of Discovery's crew in episodes that are supposed to take place later in the timeline.

Stan Lee was a unique creative force and his characters are famous worldwide, adored by practically every living generation and currently the biggest box office draw on the planet. With his death yesterday, many are taking stock of the total creative output in his lifetime, concluding that perhaps not since Walt Disney has one man's creative vision influenced the world of entertainment so greatly.
