After a bit of a delay, it looks like the debut film from Michael Mann’s daughter, Ami Canaan Mann, will be released. Thanks to the folks over at Dread Central, we have our first look at the crime thriller, The Texas Killing Fields, which stars Sam Worthington, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Chloe Moretz, Jessica Chastain and Stephen Graham.
Even though Ron Howard produced and directed the cinematic adaptations of Dan Brown’s Angels & Demons and The Da Vinci Code, it looks like he won’t be returning to the director’s chair for the final entry. According to Deadline, Howard just wants to produce the film version of The Lost Symbol, the third and final book in the Robert Langdon trilogy. Sony is currently looking for someone else to take over as director.

Hugh Jackman is already locked into the role of Jean Valijean in The King's Speech director Tom Hooper’s new version of the Les Miserables. Jackman is no stranger to musicals, having won a Tony Award for The Boy From Oz. This role in Hooper’s film does, however, mark his first cinematic musical performance. Filming will begin once he is done working on James Mangold’s The Wolverine, Jackman said.

They include Rachel McAdams, Blake Lively, Anne Hathaway and Andrea Riseborough. According to Deadline though, the one who may walk away with the highly desired role is Oscar nominee Jennifer Lawrence.
After getting snubbed at this year’s Oscars for his marvelous role in Blue Valentine, Ryan Gosling might be able to earn a nomination in the highly anticipated George Clooney directed film, The Ides of March. Though it is too early to tell and there isn't really any Oscar buzz surrounding it as of now, the film does boast an impressive cast. Aside from Gosling and Clooney, The Ides of March also stars Jeffrey Wright, Marisa Tomei, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Evan Rachel Wood and Paul Giamatti.
The series finale of Friday Night Lights may not be the last time fans get to see their beloved characters. According to /Film, executive producer Peter Berg, who served as director for the movie, is interested in continuing the story in film format and bringing back Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton.
The casting of the seven dwarves is now complete for the upcoming Snow White and the Huntsman. Nick Frost, most recently seen in the sci-fi comedy Paul, is currently in talks with Universal to take over the last vacant dwarf role, according to Variety.

Marc Forster seems like an odd choice to be directing a zombie film, especially one based on a very popular book. He made several great independent films, including Finding Neverland and Monster’s Ball, before jumping into the mainstream light with the disappointing Quantum of Solace. Currently, Forster is working on finalizing the Gerard Butler vehicle, Machine Gun Preacher, and filming the adaptation of Max Brooks’ World War Z.
