French stunner Elodie Yung has joined the cast of Alex Proyas' Gods of Egypt as the goddess Hathor. After raising her profile with a large supporting role in the big-budgeted action blockbuster G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Yung is taking another leap forward with this story about a thief and a god on a magical quest in ancient Egypt. Yung joins an already impressive cast including Gerard Butler, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Chadwick Boseman, Brenton Thwaites and Geoffrey Rush.
A new set of images and character bios pertaining to X-Men: Days of Future Past have been released via Collider. The 22 images include a behind-the-scenes shot that was uploaded to Twitter by director Bryan Singer, official film stills and a plethora of glossy character bios. Newcomers to the franchise can take a look at the pictures and become acquainted with the powers of the superheroes, while old fans and fanboys will now have more reasons to amicably argue about which characters did or didn’t fulfill their lofty expectations.
A new international poster has just been released for the upcoming action-packed sequel The Raid 2, and it looks totally awesome. Top ass-kicker Rama, played again by Iko Uwais from The Raid: Redemption, glares at the audience with the deadened expression of a man who has pummelled too many faces that day to be happy posing for a picture.
Squeals of delight can be heard from facial hair aficionados across the land upon devouring the newly released trailer for Bad Country. Willem Dafoe and his expansive mustache square off against Matt Dillon’s equally stunning example of facial masculinity in the upcoming thriller from first-time director Chris Brinker. The film, previously known as Whiskey Bay, is being distributed by Mandalay Pictures and will likely be released in digital formats and direct-to-DVD later this year.
