From the get-go, Titans hasn't been shy when it comes to exploring the bigger mysteries surrounding the young Rebirth era. Having already detailed the reason for the pre-Flashpoint Wally West being in current continuity proved this title wasn't messing around and, according to series writer Dan Abnett, he's not slowing down any time soon.
Showing that history can repeat itself, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow has once again saved the best for last, making the final episodes of the season the strongest yet, just as they did one year ago. And with the season finale now less than one week away, let’s hope the show continues to impress.
While Oliver Queen has been known to make some morally grey decisions on Arrow, Felicity Smoak has kept her nose pretty clean for the most part. But, as we’ve seen in recent weeks, this “hacktivist” group known as Helix has gotten her to do some less than savory favors (drone hacking, anyone?).
With the Wonder Woman live action movie set to arrive in theaters in just over two months, it’s understandable that Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment will want to put out as much merchandise bearing the likeness of the Amazon Princess as possible. One item in particular that’s worthy of attention is that of the forthcoming Wonder Woman: Commemorative Edition.
Those who know me are well aware that I’ve greatly enjoyed Dark Knight III: The Master Race to this point. The fact that it’s redeemed the legacy established by Frank Miller’s immortal classic The Dark Knight Returns (DKR) after what we’ll call an ill-received followup in The Dark Knight Strikes Again! (DK2) is highly commendable in its own right. But, I guess few overarching stories are without their flaws, which is why it pains me to say the penultimate installment in this definitive Batman tale is easily my least favorite of the bunch.
It's quite unfortunate that we will soon have to endure a four-week hiatus once tonight's episode of The Flash concludes before returning for the stretch leading to the season finale, but on the plus side, it looks like one hell of a ride awaits us in a few hours.
In the very near future, DC fans will be welcomed back to one of the most wildly popular alternate universes this reporter has ever seen when not only the Injustice 2 video game arrives in stores, but the prequel comic as well.
Whenever a superhero team-up movie hits cinemas, it seems that they're tasked with fending off an army before making their way to the big bad. It's already happened to the Avengers twice with the Chitauri and Ultron robots, and will soon be the case for the Justice League when they have to go up against a legion of Parademons from Apokolips.
Who needs Uncle Ben when you've got Iron Man, am I right? Well, that's the impression I was given upon viewing the latest trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming. Because aside from giving Peter Parker some generous technological upgrades, Tony Stark seems to be lending some moral guidance as well as providing the burgeoning hero with a reality check when needed.
After this morning's release of yet another awesome trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming, it seems like the floodgates have been reopened for more news pertaining to the wallcrawler's solo debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And, to be frank, none of us are complaining.
