Although The CW already put out an extended promo for the season finale of DC's Legends of Tomorrow a few days ago, they've thankfully decided to drop something considerably meatier knowing that this episode will be a bit of a game changer in addition to being the last episode to air until the fall. As such, they probably want to pull in as many viewers as they can.
Like me, I'm sure many of you Batfans out there were nothing short of ecstatic upon hearing the news that a Nightwing movie is in the works, and is to be directed by Chris McKay, the same mind behind The LEGO Batman Movie.
After returning from a three week hiatus, Supernatural didn't waste any time in forcing us to be on the edge our seats, now did it? Continuing to show how this world of hunting exists not in black and white, but in shades of grey, makes for some extremely compelling television, especially when you put British Man of Letters Mick Davies into the mix in order to illustrate such a point.
By now, having Marvel characters cameo in films headlined by others is nothing new. In fact, Iron Man fully intends to keep that proud tradition going by putting in an appearance in Spider-Man: Homecoming this July. And with Ant-Man and the Wasp just around the corner, moviegoers are starting to ponder if any other Avengers will get a piece of the action in that particular offering.
There's really no shortage of Spider-folk swinging around the Marvel Universe these days, now is there? In addition to two Spider-Men (Peter Parker and Miles Morales), Spider-Woman and even Spider-Gwen (who gave way to Gwenpool, believe it or not), to name a few, we have a new series on the way that those with an affinity for both nostalgia and one of the most notorious retcons in all of comic book history will want to check out: Ben Reilly: The Scarlet Spider.
If you've been following the flagship Harley Quinn series to this point, you're well aware that the Rebirth run is just as good as the New 52 one that preceded it (you can check out our review of the first trade paperback here). Actually, that comes as no surprise because it likely has everything to do with the fact that DC retained the same stellar writing team of Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti.
Those who have been keeping up with Marvel's latest YouTube happenings may very well be aware of the "Alien Nation" videos being circulated with the intention of promoting The Mighty Captain Marvel. Blending the art of motion comics, narration and featured musical guests, each have succeeded at helping us understand the world of Carol Danvers.
In the past few years, Arrow has certainly seen its share of tragedy. Whether it be the loss of Laurel Lance, Tommy Merlyn or Moira Queen, Oliver Queen has certainly had much guilt weighing on him throughout his crusade, causing him to show some cracks as of late.
It’s not too often that I get overly excited for crossovers these days, but “The Button” certainly has my full attention. Set to include four issues of Batman and The Flash this spring, it’ll no doubt explore the bigger mysteries surrounding Rebirth, most obviously something having to do with the Watchmen characters.
