Well, tonight is the night that DC's Legends of Tomorrow concludes its second season, becoming the first of its Arrowverse brethren to do so this spring. And although this year certainly had its ups and downs, it's undeniable that the series has been on fire for the past few weeks and will be missed until it returns this fall. But for now, we'll just have to live in the moment and enjoy two clips from the finale.
Whether it be news concerning comics, television, animation or video games, it's safe to say that DC All Access sure did pack a lot into today's episode. And although you can check out all that awesomeness in the video embedded at the top, there are two aspects we mainly want to discuss right now, that of Arrow and Dark Nights: Metal.
Although we still have "The Button" and "Aftermath" standing directly in our path, that hasn't stopped anyone from looking ahead toward the next major Batman story arc, "The War of Jokes and Riddles." And although some minor details have surfaced, writer Tom King recently decided to up the ante and spoil fans on Twitter with a bevy of teaser images.
Although the upcoming Jean Grey solo series has been the talk of the town for some time now, it hasn't been until recently that we got a look inside the debut issue. Well, there was last week's ResurrXion Spotlight Sampler (I'd say that was worth every penny if it hadn't been a free book), but thankfully, Marvel didn't wait too long afterward to release a more substantial preview.
Now that Inhumans Prime #1 has formally kicked off the ResurrXion era from the New Attilan perspective, we can look forward to the many titles launching that include those characters, specifically the focus of today's discussion, that of Black Bolt.
Aside from being blown away by the latest trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming and possibly being spoiled a little more than we'd have liked, one element that stood out was that of Iron Man's involvement. Continuing a thread first established last year in Captain America: Civil War, it looks like we can expect Tony Stark to serve as a bit of a mentor figure for Peter Parker as he hits the superhero learning curve.
Now that the wait is nearly over and iZombie is set to commence its third season this week, the cast have been doing their press rounds in order to get fans hyped. This is doubly crucial when you consider that it's been nearly a year since season 2 concluded.
Although it feels like January's midseason finale was an eternity ago, we can take solace in knowing that Gotham will make its triumphant return in exactly three weeks. Aside from a brief trailer for the next episode, "How The Riddler Got His Name," we haven't had any other footage to go on. Thankfully, that changes today.
