Since the Rebirth era kicked off last summer, both critics and fans have rightfully praised titles such as Superman, Detective Comics and Green Arrow, but one that I feel has been criminally overlooked by many is that of Green Lanterns. Maybe it’s the fact that it’s one of the rare titles in the line that boldly allows newer characters to enjoy time in the spotlight, but I assure you that it provides one of the most rewarding reading experiences DC currently offers and its first collected edition, Rage Planet, does nothing but prove my point.
It goes without saying that whenever new information concerning a movie starring the Dark Knight, in this case, The Batman, hits the web, fans and journalists alike take notice. And what especially gets peoples' attention is when anything pertaining to villains is to be discussed.
It's kind of saddening to know that Gotham will endure a three month hiatus after tonight's winter finale concludes, but at least it looks like the show will go out with a bang, thanks to Jerome Valeska inciting mayhem the likes of which the city has never before seen.
With a new episode of Supergirl being mere hours away, there is much to talk about. After kicking off season 2B in style, no doubt thanks to having Kevin Smith in the director’s chair, this series shows no signs of losing any of the momentum it’s gained since jumping networks. Seriously, it’s Flash good.
It can be argued that the current story arc being explored in the pages of Harley Quinn, “Joker Loves Harley,” is the strongest this title has yet to offer in the young Rebirth era. Seeing a Joker that is apologetic and sympathetic as opposed to the abusive mass murderer we all know him to be certainly raised a lot of eyebrows.
Sure, we may all enjoy seeing superheroes unite to form teams such as the Avengers, Justice League or, if you want to label them as such, the Thunderbolts. But what none of us can deny is how exciting it is when the villains pool their resources and come together to form clubs of their own.
Following in the footsteps of some truly awesome trailers for the likes of Captain America: Steve Rogers and Invincible Iron Man, Marvel has given similar treatment to the currently ongoing blockbuster event, Inhumans vs. X-Men.
Much to the dismay of its devoted followers, The Vampire Diaries will soon meet its end. But, hey, a run that endured for eight seasons is certainly nothing to sneeze at, especially when you factor in that the show was popular enough to yield a spinoff in the form of The Originals.
Now that the series premiere of Riverdale has come and gone, many of us can likely agree that it made quite the impression (just check out our review). With a solid foundation having been laid in the form of an Archie-Betty-Veronica dynamic that's true to the source material and a killer murder mystery to boot serving as season 1's backdrop, all eyes are on the second episode set air next week.
Although he didn't get much screen time in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Jason Momoa has certainly left an impression on fans when it comes to his inhabiting the role of Aquaman. Heck, you need only be familiar with his resume or have caught a glimpse of him in costume - let alone that awesome Justice League trailer - to have come to the conclusion that he will be one badass Arthur Curry.
